RFE Processing Times

Does anyone know how RFE Processing times work?

 

We're May AOS Filers, got an RFE in June and two months later, mailed out the evidence for the RFE (Had to basically find another joint sponsor and re do the Joint Sponsor Application+ Evidences) We mailed the supporting documents last week and I saw via USPS that it was dropped off at their location on 08/13.

 

Does our application go back in the pool now with July/August Filers? or do we continue on with when we filed in May? 

 

Just wondering because I noticed in the May filers thread that there are a handful of people that got interviews and were approved already.

My PD date is March 02. 2018, i received RFIE March 28 and USCIS acknowledged receipt of my response 09-APRIL.  My case was update yesterday 14-Aug-18  ''Case ready to be scheduled for interview''.

You may be lucky to get your  interview  once they review your response.

wow April to August....that was a while.

Exactly  and it was for a Birth Certificate which i'm 110% sure i filed with my initial application.

However, i have seen 2 cases that were scheduled for interview within a week of the RFIE response. You may be one of them. Ameen

I know that theres still a waiting period after the "ready to be scheduled for an interview" and have seen it take up to 3 months if not more.

 

and probably thats not me, lol. I keep checking the status online and its still as of June

I think the process is more or less like a Gamble/lottery. I have read post on VJ  status changed from ready to be scheduled  to INTERVIEW SCHEDULED within 5 days. 

I pray we fall in that category. Ameen

Are you talking this year or last year?  Probably a long way to go if this year. We filed June 2017 and finally got interview for August 28th.

I wonder why yours took a long time. So random...

It depends where you live, some field offices has less applicants or they are just faster. After the initial processing at NBC they send out your package to the field office you belong to so it doesn't make sense to compare months to each other.
