Lol - Ali, all of VJ knows your story - happy to hear your AP was quite short. Have patience, you should have your visa soon. Anybody else interview in the past month? Or do you know anyone who interviewed in the past month - ONLY from travel ban countries please.

No I don’t

I’ll stop sharing 😊

wish you all good luck

So I am sure most of you know that now the embassies are issuing immediate visas for CR1/IR1/K1 for travel ban countries (now that the automated system is implemented). SOME people who are interviewing now are reporting immediate visas being granted, no AP. This has started just in past 1 month or so, and I know for certain I have seen people report visas from various different embassies. Is there anyone reading this who has interviewed in the past 1 month? Could you please post your embassy and interview result?

Are you serious? How do you know? What about the back log?

Backlog is slowly being cleared. I know it sucks, but looks like people who are interviewing now have a decent shot at bypassing AP altogether. July numbers for Iran are almost 10X numbers for June. August is looking to be even better. We will know around Sept 25.

They implemented an automated pre-screening mechanism (search my posts) and looks like that is having a meaningful impact. Everyday there are visas being issued with no AP, same week. Just that since all this is very recent, I am having a hard time getting statistics around what percentage, etc. Initially, I only saw visas for people who interviewed in June 2019, but now a days they are calling in people who interviewed 2018. I have hope this trend continues. I am really looking to hear from people who have interviewed within the last month or so.

My spouse (iranian ctzn) was interviewed end of June in yerevan, was put on AP. Interview took about 3 min. The officer requested more documents to be submitted.

we called the embassy 1 month after the interview and were told to mail the missing documents along with the passport.

The same day they received the documents they released the passport.

I have been following this group for a while and finally decided to join🙏

I have personally a number of visas from various diff embassies issued with a 2019 case number. This means the case was created in 2019. What i am trying to get to is of people who interviewed in 2019 AFTER June, what percentage is going into AP. I know 4 people who interviewed, 3 got visas. But I wanted to ask more people to see if everyone is getting visas or being put in AP.

There are  a few agencies in tehran that deliver passports to embassies in ankara, yerevan and Abu dhabi,

Iranians here should be familiar with them, the best one being nilgam, Based on my research no visas were issued for people who interviewed in the past 3 months (  Iranian citizens ) i have read your past post and i believe  most of your facts are based on speculation’s.

I really hope what you are saying about the people you personally know who interviewed last month and got there visas are true but i tend not to believe anything unless i see it😬.

There are firsthand accounts from multiple different individuals of visas being printed everyday after interview. It is true :-)

Do you personally know people who have interviewed in the past month? Have they ALL been placed into AP?

Firsthand accounts from multiple people you know hmm, if its true i know they are grateful, there case was different than you me and everyone else here,

Yes i know of several immigration lawyers in los angeles and a few in iran, with there clients approval i get in touch with them and they share with me who gets there visa and who doesn't,  the image below was from a person who interviewed late august, she mentioned only 2 students got visas the rest refused or AP.

So our case has received 3-4 updates the last 4 weeks (including one yesterday), in addition to changing the / into 'or' and today I see this message!

It freaked the hell out of me this morning, until my lawyer said that it is just their stupid system that displays such a message after a certain period of time!

If my brain gets f**ked up anytime soon, it is because of this f**king process!

Do you guys know anyone who got such a message while being on AP for almost 15 months!!!

My sources are lawyers + people in facebook groups (first person)  + people who have personally interviewed. There are immediate CR1/IR1 visas, 3 month AP, 6 month AP, immediate DV, immediate Parent (including someone who interviewed last thursday and got visa today - IR5, parent of US citizen) all Iranians. We all know that there were 254 visas issued to Iranians in July. As compared to approx 30 in June, so the automated system the DOS proposed has indeed been implemented. Whats not yet clear, is what is the interview dates for these 250 visas.

some analysis:

You will see that there have been 15 CR1 visas for Iran. If you had any more than a 6 month AP, its very unlikely you'd get a CR1. It takes atleast 3 months from marriage to NOA1, 8 months from NOA 1 to NOA2. 3 months from NOA2 to NVC compelte, and then 2-3 months to interview. So 1.5 yrs. Those are best case. There is every possibility these 15 had an AP less than 6 months - so 2019 interview OR didnt have an AP at all.

The problem is that the numbers even before the ban are so small - literally we are talking between 25-40 IR1/CR1 a month. Even a few anomalies throw off the calculations.
