Hi, Has any of July 2018 filers for CSC has received a waiver letter for biometrics? Since the extension letter I haven't received any updates.
I checked my account/uscis and same last update (case received)

Nothing at all.

 

The only update that I learned about ever since I filed was the extension letter.

 

In two months exactly, I'll be eligible to file for naturalization. It'll feel weird to start another process when I don't even have news on this one.

I just hope they won’t delay ours too much since my wife and I are moving to Texas. I was hoping it’d be done by now but we just can’t wait any longer. Bummer!

Update: (more of an experience.) 

 

I recently traveled again internationally  with expired green card + extension letter. No problem at all at any port or airline. The only thing is before immigration avoid wasting your time going through auto-check printed machines since your green card is expired and you won’t be able to print and process anything. Let the people who controls the lines know that you have an extension letter, they will put you immediately in the “special needs” line and it will save you lots of time.

 

Also, be sure that your airline gives you the blue customs paper, my flight attendant said “it’s automatic at the airport” at the auto-check machines and well it wasn’t because my green card is expired so I couldn’t process anything, and one of the people who control the lines gave me one blue customs paper.

 

No more updates, no biometrics, no nothing.

Which airport was your POE?  I assume your were traveling alone.

Anyone planning to do apply for citizenship while their case is still pending? if so when can you apply? ... I got my Greencard Sept 20th so I won't be able to start the process until then....

We sure will file my wife’s N400 around 9/21/19 which is 90 days prior to the 3 year min regardless of the status of the permanent residence card.

you can't do it 90 days prior.

 

you have to be resident for 3 years (count from the date you green card was issued ) and married for 3 years.

While you must have your permanent resident status for at least 3 years before filing Form 400, the rules do allow you to file your Form N-400 application up to 90 days before the 3-year anniversary of your admission date. We plan on applying and while we are eligible to apply at the end of July, we may wait a couple extra months to see if the 10-year card is approved/arrives to prevent any additional delay. However, we will definitely submit the 400 by end of October (official 3-year anniversary).
