Congrats!! @Amadia

My case still remains the same status "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" on July 27, 2018.

Have you filed N400? What is the timeline? what are the steps? For example, file online? then biometric ? and then interview?

I am eligible to apply for N400 but I am debating if I should wait till I-751 approval. ---- will it take longer if I file N400 now?

Thank you!

Thanks! :D

I have started the online application for N400 but was waiting until I got my 10yr green card in the mail to complete it. I believe that once you file N400, they adjudicate both cases and put you in queue for your N400 but do the interview for ROC.....some officers approve RoC and N400 together.

Timeline

Just received electronic notification that the card has been mailed! We've completed the online N400 application and just have to pay and press "submit"; we'll be doing that in the next few days. So glad that's an option, now. We'd already gathered all of the evidence in PDF format and the application itself was straight forward. Took about an hour, because I wanted to scan and add a few more pieces of evidence. We're ready to get on with the last leg of this journey.  :)

Hey Guys

I am new , I just wanted to let you guys know I have also been approved just today for my 10 year green card and i751. I filed in June ( not sure exact date lawyer sent it off) they received on 06/25/2018 and there was no interview asked. They also skipped my bio-metric letting me know that they were using my old ones on 3/09/2019 . Then the next letter I got was that my case was transferred   from CA to on 5/11/2019 to Nebraska Service Center. We thought we weren't going to hear from them for another year or so. Our attorney let us know that everyone he filed for has had interview and we will not be exempt under this administration. To my surprsies... my husband came into the house and told me i got approved. I was confused and I had to track my case online to confirm it. It stated that " On June 17, 2019, the Post Office picked up mail containing your new card for XXXX..We mailed your card to the address you gave us. The tracking basically states that I will be getting mine this Wednesday and USPS already picked it up. I hope that helps everyone. We did apply for nexus card to Canada ( since I am Canadian from Vancouver) and we both have been approved in Jan 2019 not sure if that did anything to our case. Also we applied from Seattle WA for removal and  the 2 year card was applied in NYC

We submitted a lot of materials.

1) photos from trips , dogs etc for xmas card

2) active joint bank account/ credit card

3) insurances joint

4) joint bills

5) joint titles house and car

6) joint tax returns etc

I know there are people stating all interview are mandatory , clearly it is not the case.

I have already prepared for my neutralization application with my attorney since we thought I would be neutralized before getting this green card lol.. YAY now i can wait in peace and get ride of that wrinkly extension letter i been holding on for dear life. If it helps during our first conditional green card the officer who interviewed us said we were already approved on paper she just needed to do the interview for the process. She approved on the spot in nyc it was fairly quick and she just chatted with us about future plans.

No update on either website for us regarding our I-751 filing.  Have not heard anything since the letter stating they would use previous biometrics.

I may be jumping the gun a little (probably a lot actually), but thought I would ask.  My wife is filipina and the plan has always been to retire in the Philippines in 10-15 years (we are both in our mid 40s).  If she becomes a US citizen, does she need to renounce her Philippine citizenship?  If she does then we can't own land there.  But if she doesn't apply for citizenship in the US, won't that effect her SS benefits if we are living full time in the Philippines?  Anybody know of a resource online that I can review for this very specific situation :)

USA allows DUAL citizenship in a way ( no policy) but your other country in your case Philippine has to allow it. I have no idea weather or not Philippine allows but after few seconds of quick research google states" The Philippine government does allow dual citizenship. However, you must go to the nearest Philippine consulate, fill out some paperwork announcing your dual citizenship, and then reapply for a new Philippine passport. The US government has no policy on on dual citizenship." This means you are allowed to hold both. If you are not sure why not call your consulate? I am Canadian and I will be getting my dual once I naturalized with USA. However if you are Chinese or from other country, China dose not allow dual so you can't dual.

"Nevertheless, U.S. practice, as upheld in various court decisions, is to allow dual citizenship. (You can see this on the U.S. State Department’s website, for example, where it explains that: “U.S. law does not . . . require a person to choose one citizenship or another.”)

The United States will not ask naturalizing citizens to take any steps to formally renounce the citizenship of their home country. Nor will it stop U.S. citizens from later adopting citizenship in another country – though if their intention is to give up U.S. citizenship, they can certainly do so. You may continue to vote in your home country, if it allows it.

All this does not mean that the U.S. will tolerate divided loyalties. Dual citizens must obey U.S. laws, uphold the U.S. Constitution, and in every other way adhere to the naturalization oath that they take. They are also required by the I.N.A. to carry their U.S. passport when leaving the U.S., and to present it upon reentry. (I.N.A. Section 215(b).)"

Thanks peppercosmo!

I have been researching as well and found that in the Philippines you can reclaim your citizenship .  However, it seems that SS benefits (at least at present) will be paid to green card holders in the Philippines.  My wife won't really need any of the other services allotted to her through citizenship (other than maybe easier travel with a US passport).  Since you can live comfortably on the US SS payments in the Philippines that is my main concern.  We are leaning towards not having my wife apply for US citizenship so we can own land.  If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them.

Your wife cannot live full-time in Philippines and maintain a US Green card. Unless I'm really misreading your situation.
