Ireland is a low fraud country. Check out these pages, they'll give you a pretty decent timeline.

Currently K1 applications from November are being processed, but many cases from September and October are still waiting for theirs too. Average waiting time till NOA-2 right now is about 185/190 days. Add 2 to 3 weeks of nvc to that and, depending on the embassy, an average of 30 to 60 days for the medical and interview. I'd say 9 to 10 months to VIH is a fair estimate.

Have you looked at the CR1? Tbh, I probably would go that route if I we're to do it again.

if apply now how long does it take from the time you file the I-129F petition to the time you get the k1 visa

i have been told it could take 18 months. is this true the way things are now, or is it still around 7 - 9 months to get it

thanks

@Rob 10 months til VIH is about average these days for a country like Ireland while other countries like Ghana it could be 18 months unfortunately. If you have the option then go get married and file the CR-1 visa which is taking about 12 months until VIH right now but you would have the green card already once you get in the USA.
