:help: Are all cases at the NVC "under administrative review" until they are approved? Or, should I be worried that when I called today, they told me that this was the status of my case?

Our K-1 Timeline

1/29/07-- NOA1

5/03/07-- NOA2 (not known until 5/17/07)

5/04/07 through 5/17/07-- tortured by "computer glitch" at CSC

5/16/07-- Case received at NVC (not known until 5/17/07)

5/17/07-- Called Cust Service, followed VJ.com forum advise re: RFE prompts, got live CSC operator

-- CSC operator informed me that NOA2 was approved 05/03/07 & Case sent to NVC on 5/11/07

-- When asked why I had not received any of three possible notifications, was told "computer glitch"

5/17/07-- Called NVC and was told case was received on 5/16/07

5/23/07-- Case left NVC

6/01/07-- received email from Moscow consular office stating "as of today, case not recieved from NVC"

6/04/07-- (30 days after approval petition) Called CSC and requested a copy of NOA2

fiancee here on June 8." Called Moscow Embassy Visa Information Service and was told it was a

mistake, case has only been recieved electronically so far.

Online updated to show "Approval notice sent"

6/16/07-- Finally received hard copy of NOA2 in mail

WILL&LB, I was told the same. that our case was put under the administrative review, I totally freaked out, but then I asked if they do administrative review with ALL cases or SOME cases, and they said they do this with all cases. it looks like my fiance and i are at the same place as everyone else... no NOA2 letter yet, but we received the NVC notice of receipt last week. and i am going to call now to see if they have forwarded our petition to the embassy...

but i am wondering what i should do to prepare for whatever is next... i saw on the k1 guide that the next big paperwork is the affidavit of support. but who does that go to and when do they need it? i was hoping for more instructions with the NOA2 approval letter, but since we don't have that yet... is this included in packet 3? actually, what is packet 3? is that what is sent to my fiance from the embassy once they receive our case? what exactly is in there?

man is it nice to have other people around to help figure out what is going on!

By the way, just yesterday the NOA2 hardcopy arrived at my parents house in Colorado. Finally!

I'm still wondering if my fiancee needs the hardcopy NOA2 at her interview or not? I decided to mail her NOA1 just in case..? I did not see anywhere in the documentation from the Warsaw site or any checklist that the original NOA2 is needed. More is better... or less is more?

Ah.. I guess having everything available at the interview in the case that the CO asks for something specific you have everything ready to be showed.

True. I'm taking my NOA2 to the interview. I'm going to try to get a certified copy of it. So I can keep the original for AOS just in case the embassarians try to keep my NOA2.
