The check cashed on the 11th. My husbands GC expires on the 25th, I'm wondering if I should plan ahead and make an infopass appointment for the day after his GC expires just incase the NOA doesn't show. We have proof that we sent it, and the checks been cashed, not pending.

I'll wait til Monday and see I think, just venting a little lol.

I hope your NOA comes around soon. 

Our check was cashed two days after the date printed on NOA,so I guess your NOA must be in the mail by this time....keeping fingers crossed for you.

Thanks! It was extended for 18 months. Did they just changed this? It used to be one year, from what I read from the older forums.

our NOA is dated 6/6 and we got 1 year extension.

 

You are just two days after us and got 18 months.

Why the sudden change or is it just me? Does it mean my application will take longer to process?

It's because prior the whole ROC process took about a year, now it's taking almost two years.

Having a longer time means there are less callers, less complaints, and a higher chance that there will be less infopass appointments for 1 year stamps.

Okay, that explains it. Whew. I guess we won't be seeing our new green cards until 2020.

While lawyers don't recommend it, most people here recommend just filing for naturalization at year 3 for marriage based Green Card holders. They have processed the I-751 at the same time as the N-400, and the N-400 has less of a wait time normally. Laywers have told people not to do it because it takes longer, but people here on VJ have seemed to have differing experiences.

OMG you guys, VSC finally cashed my check. I've never been so happy about someone taking my money.

I resent my package 6/1, delivered 6/4, cash checked 6/15; now just waiting for NOA.

I confirm they are issuing 18 month extensions.
