Hi everyone

I went to interview on May 29th in Santa Ana Field Office and the officer approved my application for citizenship. Tommorrow I am going to LA convention center for oath ceremony!!!  Just wanted to update my case.

Wish everyone luck!

My son received his notice for oath ceremony. He took the interview in March 25. Since he applied for name change, it took 3 months for him to get scheduled for a judicial ceremony in Atlanta. It's actually faster than I expected. Thank God this long journey is coming to an end.

Got the letter today.  Applied last may... maybe the 7th?  It's in the spreadsheet wherever that is.

Here's the spreadsheet, I updated my info https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CRXPJXGNip4bFIDoUE3PyCtguHqwmN_ExuJhSmXoves/edit?usp=sharing

Interview happened in SF on July 3.  It was short, 6 questions, verified n400, didn't request any additional documents.  Dude talked fast, I wonder if he was trying to trip up a language barrier or just wanted to get to lunch.  Celebrated passing yesterday with fireworks.

Got electronic notice that oath has been scheduled but letter isn't online yet.

We reached the end of our journey as my wife took the Oath and became a U.S. citizen in Houston this morning. It has been a long journey, probably too long, but the end result is well worth the wait.

As we depart this forum where we have called home for the past 6 years, I wish to leave you all with this quote from the late President JFK:

"Ask not what your country can do for you

Ask what you can do for your country"

It doesn't matter who we are, what country we came from, what language we speak, what color is our skin, who we worship, or who we support for President, we are all the citizens of the best country in the world. So, let's go out there, put our heads together, and make it an even better country.

We wish you all best of luck!

Just an update, we went in for our combo interview on Monday and got there early (arrived and was in waiting room by 7:20 for a 8:05 interview time). The officer came in just a few minutes later (almost 30 minutes early!). My husband was using the bathroom so he said no problem and came back out a few minutes later. We went in probably around 7:45 AM. The officer was very friendly and quickly put us at ease. We started with questions for the I751, where did you get married, etc. etc. Largely just focused on when we got married and dates of moving, travel, etc. Then he went quickly to the N400. Asked civic questions and my husband got the first 6 correct (what is the capital of CA, ... can't remember the others). Then he read and wrote on the iPad and told us we were approved. I think it total it took about 1 hour. Told us we would probably get oath date in August. Good luck everyone who is still going through the process!
