Hey guys! We had our interview at Islamabad Embassy on May 16th and got the visa in hand on May 18th! We will be traveling to States on May 29th and l want to know what steps we need to take before the immigration. We have the visa and we were not given any packet to be opened at the time of immigration. There was just one paper with instructions on how to pay the immigration fees ($220) at USCIS. We have paid the fees and also got the confirmation email which we will be taking with us. Is there anything else we need to do?

not that I can think of thats all you need if packet not required. maybe something medical related??

do u have option to pick up visa or have them mail it? i guess u live in isl so decided to pick it up since probably faster and more safe?

USD 220 Is this the part of nvc process or is it something additional like the green card fees??

PD  = 15 DEC 2016

NOA 1 = 21 DEC 2016

NOA 2 = JAN 2018

(AS PETITIONER WAS ON GREEN CARDS THAT IS WHY IT TOOK SO LONG)

NVC RECEIVED = 12 FEB 2018

CASE # ASSIGNED = 19 APR 2018

PAID AOS & IV FEE = 20 APR 2018

FEE DEDUCTED = 25 APR 2018

DS260/CIVIL DOCS/ AOS SUBMITTED = 26 APR 2018

WAITING FOR CC :D

Where do I find the Alien and DOS Number to pay for the fees. It was not on the white paper. Do I wait till visa is received?

UPDATE!! I received an email notification this evening that my passport is ready for pick up at DHL in VI, Lagos.

Excited much.. I'd be jetting out to my dream life with my husband any day now.

I give God all thanks.

Thanks to God for your success!!! My husband got approved today and need to know if he is getting any packet and how to pay the GC fee since the Alien/DOS number were not on the white paper issued.

Congratulations to your husband. Once he has collected his visa package which should be by Fri, you will find the A number on it. The DOS number though is your nvc case number.

Hope he has registered for his pickup? If he hasn't, the information is in one of the white papers given to him by the CO. Good luck!

Your alien number is the A Number at the top right of your noa2 while your DOS number is your NVC case number but would prefer you wait till Wednesday the 30th for your visa pick up before going ahead to make other plans since Monday the 28th is America's Memorial Day while Tuesday the 29th is Nigeria's Democracy Day(2public holidays).

Green card fees

Question guys, My child is 7 years old and immigrating with me in the US. Do we still have to pay Green Card Fee (Immigration Fee) since it is automatic for her to become us citizen when she come to US.

Thank you very much for the answer?

It's crazy though! It seems like they would have a better process of all this! Just can't wait for it to be over!!!

That's true, like maybe having more slots available since there is so many of us!
