hi,

here is my situation, I'm currently on a F1 visa, I got married on January 26, 2018 and I went to get my biometrics done in march. so far so good :)

but here is my problem my F1 ends on May 17 2018, and I'm scared because my CA id also end on the same date.

what happens if I don't get an interview date before that date ? is my status in jeopardy ?

and also I made a request for AP when I send all my paperwork back in February whats usually the processing timeline for this type of paperwork ?

once again thank you for your time guys, this forum is really helpful

You have sent in your AOS papers which means that as of May 17, 2018 you're kind of going to be in immigration limbo. You're not out of status but you don't really have a status. Did you also apply for a work permit when you filed your AOS or only your travel authorization? I hope you also applied for your EAD otherwise you won't be able to work before you get your Green Card which, if it's the same timelines as AOS based on marriage, will be about a year from February give or take a few months. EAD/AP takes about 100+ days.

Your F1 status continues. Well assuming ot is D/S which most are, I presume it is your visa that expires.

You are under the colour of law. the first document you will get will be EAD/AP. 4 to 6 months seems the norm.
