Woo-hoo-hoo-hooooo! I just got an email this morning saying that my Permanent Resident Card has been ordered! Yay! Its only taken 15 months, which I know is not as long as others on here and at the same longer than some have had to wait, but thank God the torture of waiting is over!

Good luck to all those still waiting! I hope and pray that it won't be too much longer for you guys.

I received a case status information email today regarding my I-485. Here is what the email says:

"the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent."

I have changed my address previously with USCIS by mailing the AR-11 form and calling the USCIS, right after that I received a letter in the mail to my NEW address to confirm that I have changed my address. Also I have gotton a couple of correspondences from USCIS to my new address regarding this case.

I think USCIS somehow used my old address. Anyways I called them today and they said you should hear from us again within 45 days!

After waiting for almost three years and a half I wonder what could that notice be?

I had the same problem as you. I changed my address in Jan 2007. Verified with USCIS and even received several letters to my new address. Last Dec I received a letter for fingerprinting at my old address. I went in to talk to them and they said they didn't know why but they do have my current address on file. It really doesn't make sense.

Yay! Congrats! I wonder if we had the same AO. It couldn't be a coincidence that we had the same last touch date and are both in Phoenix.

AWESOME Julie! Congratulations!

I also felt the "approval" guilt.

Now I can finally leave this forum-I was hanging around waiting for your husband to get approved!

To LaL and to all of you still waiting: I'm sending good vibes your way!
