that bad? We are considering the local outreach in May, maybe I'll rethink

We did the one in Raleigh NC yesterday and our appointment was for 2:45pm,  we went there on Marine time(15-30 minutes early). There were operating on Juan time so she was not seen until 4:15pm and we didn't walk out of their until 5:30pm for a simple passport renewal.

I would suggest doing it because it does get stuff out of the way that you need done like a ROB, ROM, Dual Citizenship, or passports. But make sure you sign up for an even early because spots fill up quick for an event. Also make sure you have your documents in a row, which I am a stickler about having everything I need and then some just in case.

What you say is true and common sense but you can still use your passport for domestic travel. Don’t only need to use AP or US ID. We just used passport last week with no problem even though she had an AP card. Up to the traveler if they want to use AP or passport for domestic travel.

Yeah  but I felt that kind of goes without saying right?! Most people like to use their ID to travel within the U.S. so I chose that scenario as an example.

I've been traveling on my maiden name for 3 years now, with an AP and later GC in my married name. Never had an issue. Always purchase tickets on the name in the passport.
