No Appointments Available - What now?

Hi all,  

 

Now that our status is READY, we paid the DS160, and there are now no appointments available at the US embassy in Ghana.  Anyone else encounter this issue?

You'll just have to keep checking back until a spot becomes available. The Ghana embassy is a very busy embassy and with only a certain number of interview spots available each day, it can take some time to schedule an interview.

Still waiting for that. We just completed DS160 and wanted to look at availability but nothing is open.

when did the consulate received your case . Can we have a chat on whatsapp . Maybe that one can help a lot

We haven’t been notified of its receipt, just know it left NVC and the online status was “READY.”  What about you?

We too the same . I was thinking we can talk through whatsapp and discuss more important things . Which date did you case left nvc

Hmmmm... we have received our receipt from nvc and our case has been ready for almost 4 months now without any mail from the embassy. I have emailed them for several times but they don’t respond.

Four months! Wow. Have you started the DS160 or will you wait? When you get a chance, please fill out your timeline - it’s helpfuk to others and especially those going for Ghana to share info. @success, please fill your timeline as well when you get a chance, thanks!

My case was expedited to the Embassy and we are still waiting for an appointment. No return emails and people are very unhelpful on the phone. This is like a never ending process

Hi, everyone my husband case is a i130  petition. It's at Ghana as of March 29, 2018. They sent me and him his package through email April 10, 2018. Now he waiting for his interview which no appointments available.

Wow - sorry to hear this.  I'm not sure how the process for i130 works but it seems the embassy is backed up in general.  Do you need to schedule your appointments on your own, or does the embassy schedule for you?  It's been almost 2 weeks for us, we've been checking every day for interview appointments for K1 and nothing yet.  Hoping for some movement soon!
