Well its been a long journey but its nearing completion.

We filed for ROC last April and with California on forever wait, no action yet.

Thankfully the N400 process is all online and really easy now, so this morning while I'm sitting in Abu Dhabi on the last week of a business trip I pushed the button and paid the $725 for my wife's naturalization.  Hope to have the Biometrics before another two week out of country trip in early May.

We are heading back to Palawan for a month in December and would be fantastic to have this all wrapped up by then.

Good luck to everyone in any part of the process!

Good luck.  The naturalization wait for an interview seems to differ quite a bit depending on what office you're near.  Ours is Salt Lake City and the completion date is listed as Apr 2019.  We filed in Feb this year.  Hope yours is quicker than that.  And ours too! ;)

Yes indeed!

I was looking at all the timelines in the N400 monthly trackings going back to November, weeding down to the Online filers only they seem to be running 4-5 months across a range of cities (local offices) and the only one I found for cincinnati was roughly 4 months.

The USCIS provided timelines seem, well Useless, and pegged still to paper filing.

But we can just wait and watch :)

We did paper file, but a day or two after they received it they notified me that they were scanning all my docs into an electronic file and gave us an IOE receipt number.  I think everyone is now in the same boat regardless of the filing method.

Got a text this morning that they scheduled the Biometrics and the status updated on both pages to reflect that.

Also the ROC (I-751) that has been pending at CSC forever was updated last night to:

Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction

On April 6, 2018, your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC17XXXXXXXXX, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by May 6, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I am really debating right now on wither to do the online N400 for my wife or wait a couple months.

Since her Bio letter came through we are seeing more movement on the I751.  So if you're waiting ROC, especially at CSC, might help push it forward.

Not waiting for anything right now, we have already done her ROC and she has her 10 year GC right now. I am just wanting her to get it done so that we don't have to deal with the Philippine government if we don't have to if you know what I am saying.

  • 3 months later...

Well the N400 went rather quickly.

Filed on March 31st and my wife had her interview July 17th (I751 and N400 combined interview).  Only took 25 minutes for both interviews and they kept me in the room for both as well.  Pretty easy questions.

She passed and has her oath on August 10th!

That is great news!!!    Congrats to your wife!

Looks like the N-400 process is back to a 4 month adventure.

We're still waiting, online account is still saying Apr 2019 as a completion date - the SLC office isn't the quickest.
