 Yea, me 3. I think the system internally sweeps and search for any non-urgent cases and auto sends that email..

Sigh.. so the wait begins..

Well, this is disheartening. Just looked at the thread for N-400 March 2018 filers and only very few of them have gotten interview dates... Unless most people didn't update.

 

I had hoped I would get news of an interview date 4 weeks after biometrics, so that I can plan my summer/fall travels accordingly. I have September overseas travel and I was banking on being a citizen before then.

Disheartening isn't it, they've only had a couple get interviews so far. I'm due to give birth late August and wanted to be all done by then

Yea, I know.. I have travel plans for September too. But by the looks of things, I'm delaying those plans.

The last thing I need is to buy a round trip ticket home just for an hour interview during my vacation.

I'm guess there is a surge of applicants this year, compared to LY. As I noticed the timeline for those applied last year during summer, all had their interviews within 3 months max. Or it's either the USCIS is slowing their processing time for citizenship applications..

 

Either way, it's depressing to look at the estimated timeline of 11 months the website is projecting.. It's probably going to be more and more accurate by the looks of it as days goes by.

This makes me kinda regret waiting til April. I had been eligible to apply in the last 12 months and I didn't because of personal reasons.

 

Hopefully, it picks up and I will actually receive a 3rd USCIS email this month stating I'm in-line or have an interview scheduled.

 

It's kinda frustrating how inconsistent the processing timelines have been. With how expensive it is, you would think it could at least be done in a timely manner.

 

For now... what can we do on this thread to keep us entertained?  HAHAHA

We are leaving the country in August. My hopes were to expedite a passport and travel with husband and the kiddo with 3 American passports for the first time. 

 

I’m not cancelling any plans, it just seems I’ll still carry the GC around. Oh well. 

 

Those “we know you exsist but have nothing to tell you” emails are hard to see. I’d rather they stay quiet until there’s good news.

I know right!!! Anytime I get those text alerts. I stop anything that I am doing, hold my breath, praying in my mind and open the text message to read that they are actively reviewing my case at 7:30 am😊. I am still hoping that your dream of travelling with american passports for the August vacay come true .🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

I get excited whenever I get the text but when I read it that "they are reviewing my case" makes me disappointed at the end. We all are waiting for that wonderful text
