Who gets the case number sent to them?

Once NVC assign the case number, would I receive a letter in the mail (UK) or would my fiancee who is the petitioner in the USA?

Petitioner receives the NVC number.  However, you should call the NVC directly to get the number instead of waiting for the letter (which takes weeks to arrive).

Like above petitioner will receive hard copy NVC letter. You can call or just wait. Depends on how frantic you are about it.
