Byron, Mirla, Rodgiegirl, Tanjay and Alane I know how stressed everyone is right now but try to stay strong. Everytime I come on here I feel your pain and wish I could move things along faster for you. You all have to be very close to getting your approval. I am hoping this is your week. Good luck!!

First off, I would like to congratulate to all of the recent approvals. Good Job everyone!!

Now on to my update. Apparently that lady that I talked to a couple of days ago had lied to me. She told me that our case was mailed directly to the Consulate in HCM, Vietnam. I had my fiancee checked. My fiancee told me that they practically yelled at her because she was reading off the WAC# instead of the NVC case #. They told her don't waste their time unless she has the NVC case #. When I heard that I was very upset. What else are we suppose to do? USCIS told me that our case was sent there so we just want to confirm. The HCM Embassy gave my fiancee the NVC phone # to contact. With that I just got off the phone with both NVC and USCIS.

NVC - A lady told me that they still haven't received our case (which I'm not surprised). Then she asked me if I can mail a copy of my NOA2 to them. I told her that I've already did last week and a gentlemen had told me that they received it, processed it, and sent me back something in the mail. She then told me that it's impossible because it would take 4-6 weeks to process any incoming mail. She then asked me if I knew the person's name. I told her no. She said he shouldn't have told me such a thing. She said to wait for the mail to be processed and that was it.

USCIS - I called the RFE line and spoke to a nice guy. He told me that our case was still in the staging area waiting to be shipped out. At this point I was furious because just 2 days ago a lady told me that it was already sent to the Consulate. I asked her 3 times if she was sure and she confirmed on her computer screen that it left the building. I told the guy that I keep getting conflicting reports each time I called and that nothing ever got resolved. He said he will put in an inquiry to the leading Officer who is in charge of the mailing area and try to get our case sent out right away. He then asked me to call back next week or 2 weeks. I was furious at this point. I was firmed with him and said NO. I told him that's what everyone tells me each time I called and that this was unacceptable. I asked him is this what you people do, just to say anything to brush people off the phone?? I wasn't screaming, but my tone was firmed. I said to him I only live 5 hours away from the office, and if they can't send it out then I'll be more than happy to drive there, pick it up and send it myself. He then asked for my number so that he can contact me as soon as he hears anything after he put in a request. I said ok, thanked him for his help and told him that I will be expecting his call. He said he will call me regardless. Let's see.

I can't believe these people!!! Giving us the run around stories. At this point, I don't believe anything they tell me anymore. It just seems they're trying to rush you off the phone by giving you any kind of stories. Sorry for the rant people. I'm just so mad from the lies they're telling me.

So sorry to hear about all that MR2nice. It looks like they are still as incompetent as ever

Goes to show that those of us on VJ know more than the reps.

Thanks for the support everyone. I agree that this is a very stressful process and with the Holidays season approaching it's not going to get any easier for us. There can only be so much patience that we can give and for them to tell us lies...that's like giving us hopes and then crush it with the truth. From now on, I will take down each of their names when I do call and make a note of the conversation afterwards. Will this help to fix their system? Probably not! We're at their mercy at this point. Sigh! :(

With so much liers, we could not help wondering if we are dealing with a goverment organization and not with some banana republic.

Mr2nice, I wish USCIS, NVC and every agancies will read your posting and feel ashame for threating us like that.

However, thanks a lot for your updating. At least I am not feeling alone anymore with all the delays of my case.

Thanks!

Hello everyone. Just returned from a week in Colombia visiting my fiance. Things were great and she is patiently waiting for the NOA-2 to get here. I wish I could be as calm and patient as she is!

My RFE info was received at CSC on 10/22 and I received an email yesterday(10/30) that the information was "received and back in the system for additional review". The email also says I should receive an answer within 60 days. 60 days?!?! I have already waited 5 1/2 months and received an RFE for a mistake the examiner made, and now I have to wait an additional 60 days! Man, I can't wait for this process to be done with.

Well, I assume that the officer needs to clear his/her desk of pending files, so I hope our files are looked at promptly and we get the approvals. Maybe the 60 day notification is the standard letter for receiveing requested RFE information. Good luck and I hope they approve both of our petitions quickly.

I'm sorry you are going through this Mr2nice. I have had my issues with them too. I am totally sympathetic :( it's truly awful that we are at their mercy. Sometimes I feel like the reps are more of a road block than anything else. You can't get past them! They really aren't "customer service". I hope you will at least get a phone call back. I was shocked and amazed when I actually got a call from them yesterday. But I would keep calling if I were you. Maybe you will get some better information soon. Hang in there though, you will get through this!

Mr2Nice, I'm so sorry! I can't believe they are so irresponsible to assure you that the info. is right when they have no idea of what they are talking about! I'd be beyond upset too!

Is it possible to ask for the persons name when you call? So you can tell who is the one who is giving misleading information?

I hope your case gets to the NVC soon! Hang in there!

:( I just called CSC to find out if my paperwork has been sent to NVC yet (I called NVC earlier today and it had not been rec'd). I told her that although I'd received my NOA2 on 10/22..dated 10/18, the website had not been updated. She looked up my case number and said that I had in fact been approved, but my paperwork can remain in the mail staging area for up to 60 days and that NVC knows they're behind and will extend the dates if necessary. She said they wait and send out large crates at a time and that when the next crate was full, it'd probably be sent out. She was very pleasant, but said that she has no other information that she could give me, but I could call to check on it any time.

Looks like another long frustrating wait. :(
