What?!!?!?! Damn!!!! What a freakin joke! Any idea what could they be asking for?

I suspect maybe the date of my father's death. For his residence I put deceased and I read somehere here they want the date and had a RFE because of that.

I suspect maybe the date of my father's death. For his residence I put deceased and I read somehere here they want the date and had a RFE because of that.

What!!??? I seriously find that information ridiculous!!!! What do they want your parents information, DOB, residence, date of deceased!!!! I mean, the petition is for your fiancee(e) not for her/his parents!!!!! :angry:

I'm so sorry you got an RFE :(. Hopefully it will be something simple and you will get your NOA2 very soon. About the date of death...not sure that would cause you a problem. My fiance's father is deceased, and when it asked for residence I also put deceased. Keep us posted,

Not necessary true as I also put down "Deceased" for my father's residence and my case was approved. Maybe it depends on who's working on the case and if they are nit-picky about it.

I got an RFE because USCIS says I did not send in a Death Certificate for my fiances spouse to show prof that she is no longer legally married. I sent the form with my initial packet, but they said it wasn't in there?! (I am 1000% sure it was there because I re-checked the copy I made of the I-129 F packet) Oh well, I am remailing the RFE requested information in the morning.

Thank you CSC. You have added an extra week to my 150 day ordeal because your inspector OVERLOOKED the correct document. On my cover letter, I am going to make sure I point out that the correct form WAS included and to look again! :devil:

The worst thing about it is there is absolutely nothing we can do about it! :no:

Its incidents like this that make me paranoid about getting an RFE. Even though I thought my petition was bullet proof, we know that unexplainable things like this can and do happen. Anybody can get an RFE at any time and there is nothing you can do about it.

I hope things work out for you Bundy. :thumbs:

OK...I hope they will accept this letter from Social Security Office. My RFE said that I must provide evidence stating that my pior name and current name are the same person. I went to Social Security office to have them write a letter stating that those names are of the same person with same SSAN. I don't have any record showing my picture and prior name; and I hope this will be sufficient evidence. Anybody have any advice?

Mar. 31, 2008 - Can finally see AP & EAD online!!

Apr. 10, 2008 - Biometrics finished! Can finally see AOS online & EAD touch!

May 12, 2008 - Email: AP approved!!

May 14, 2008 - Email: EAD approved!!

May 16, 2008 - EAD card & AP in hand!!
