Us border email- should I panic?

Received which looks like an automated email but it spooked me abit. Has anybody ever had an email like the one below?

 

"U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) hopes you have enjoyed your stay in the United States. As a reminder, temporary visitors must comply with their terms of admission, and depart the United States on or before your admit until date. Our records show your admission will expire within the next 10 days.

 

You can visit https://I94.cbp.dhs.gov for additional information regarding your I-94 (Record of Admission), your admit until date, and other frequently asked questions. You will need your name, date of birth and passport number to access the information."

 

whilst adjusting my status should I fear ICE turning up?

Its a new thing they are doing lately. Will they come looking for you? unlikely. It is n attempt to keep track of the departures of people with temporary visas.

what is your current immigration status in the U.S - i.e. by what means did you enter the U.S? 

 

Edit - only asking because I was on ESTA for 81 days and didn’t receive any correspondence like this 0,o

OP is adjusting status.

If you've already filed your I-485 and it's been accepted by USCIS, no.

It's a courtesy email to help you stay out of trouble.  If you can legally apply for adjustment, I would do so asap.  If you have already, then you are in an authorized stay category...

I assume not a visa, the VWP.

Thanks all for quick responses.

context:

 

i entered on VWP it expires as of March 9th were due to wed on March 10th so cant apply to ajust status until after. 

 

Obviously my concern is the crossover period between AOS being filed and VWP expiring. (Marriage certificate probably take a week or so to become available)

Havent filed anything yet as not married still. the 90 day rule suggests process less complicated after rather than before

You'll be out of status and deportable from when your ESTA authorisation expires until you file your I-485.

 

For a short period (weeks/months) it won't make much difference to anything.

So there not gonna come knocking at dawn as soon as it's expired!? Email spooked me abit.

I don't think you are high on their priority list, but you are subject to deportation between expiration of your authorized ESTA stay and filing AOS.....Why would it be seen as misrep since you entered the country without the intent to stay and adjust?
