How long it takes before NVC give me a case number?

Hi all, question i got my NOA1 july 19 2016, NOA2 approved feb 10 2018and  just now i fgot a notification that on feb 27 2018 the case was sent to the department of state. Just wondering how long it will take to get a case number from NVC? And when to call? And whats the contact number for them to follow up if needed? Thank you all! 😊

Click on the link below it has all the info to guide you for the NVC process including NVC numbers and when to call , all you need to do is read then read again until you become a master degree holder on it.

NVC can take up to 6weeks. Make sure your status change online on USCIS site. I will start calling once a week after the 4th week.

OP already stated that status on USCIS changed to "case was sent to the department of state" from first posting and that is the end of USCIS status changes as far as the petition is concerned.

4 weeks is way too long. Since case was sent to department of state on Feb 27, OP can start calling NVC after 1 week (to give NVC enough time call on  March 9) and once a week subsequently. My Case Number and Invoice ID was ready 8 days after my USCIS status changed to "case was sent to the department of state"

4 weeks is way too long. Since case was sent to department of state on Feb 27, OP can start calling NVC after 1 week (to give NVC enough time call on  March 9) and once a week subsequently. My Case Number and Invoice ID was ready 8 days after my USCIS status changed to "case was sent to the department of state"

i called NVC today the representative gave me my case number and IID number , can i start the nvc process even that i didn't receive my welcome letter yet ??

You definitely can start NVC process as soon as you have your credentials and able to login into your NVC account page - https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

my case was sent on 01/12 and they received it on 27 but i am still waiting for case number. I've been calling and calling and calling and talk to the supervisor and still under process i dont know why. I know ppl here their case was sent after my case but they have their case number. so I am so worried about is any wrong with my case

OMGGGG you won. you are lucky that you got ur case number. 

I dont understand why mine is taking for everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am waiting since 01/23 we are in March now.

I wish I know what happening

just be patiant you will get yours soon ,

it's a long process , for me it took 2 months to uscis to sent my case to nvc and it took a month to get my case number , just call theme and ask to the reprsentative to  make an anquiry

Because we are pivot cases which is on another system. I am also the same case. Mine was received on the 31st of January.
