So, we got our interview date, April 4th. Everything is going fine and we're all prepared for that. We are planning to have him come into America and move down here at the end of April, should all go well, obviously.

But two weeks after the interview, his brother is getting married in Ireland, so he wants to be there. We were wondering if him going to Ireland (not taking a flight that connects anywhere in the US or crossing the US border) would be problematic for our visa situation. If it is, he won't go, but he would very much like to if it won't be a problem.

Does anyone know if it will be an issue or who we can contact to ask if it would be alright?

Congratulations on your interview date!

International travel has no effect on the validity of his K1 visa. Provided he has not already entered the US after the grant of his visa, there should be no problem at all. :) (After entry, he would need to wait for AP.)

Thanks! We are so excited and nervous!!

And thank you so much for the response, we were so worried he wouldn't get to go to his brother's wedding. :) And yeah, we knew he wouldn't be allowed to enter the US and travel internationally after without special forms, so as anxious as we are to be together, we are gonna wait till after his brother's wedding for him to enter the US. That makes me feel tons better.

But he did pay for like the express shipping stuff to get it back, if he gets it back before his flight, he should be fine, right?
