Guys I just got my Approval notice! Removal of conditions approved! Green card itself should arrive within 60 days! Finally!!

My turn has come!  I received a notification at 5.30pm CST yesterday that my card is in production and approved. It was such a relief to see the notification come in. I received a text first, then an

I wanted to share with you all, I got home after a long and stressful day at work, to find in my mailbox that my removal of conditions have been approved, it was dated 01/30/2019

Just checked our case status and as of 5/9 a new card is being prduced. Only thing I’m worried about now is we are currently out of the country and won’t be back until 5/17. Hope we won’t have any issues getting back in since I’m assuming the card will be in my mailbox before we get there.

sure you will be fine.. you still cover with expired gc and extension letter.. i am going aways in 24 days and just got the update of card being produced..hoping i get it before i leave otherwise using old expired gc and extension letter

Based on others, I was hoping to obtain a response within two weeks after sending RFE. California center has it since April 3rd. But i have not heard back 😕.I received notification on new website only. Old website still show fingerprint received. Im starting to worry. 

[spoiler]Green card I-130:Wedding date January 16th,2015 I-130 sent: May 5th,2015 NOA1: May 7th, 2015 NOA2: October 23rd,2015 Sent to NVC Nov 3rd, 2015 Received at NVC on the November 9th,2015 NVC sent letter with Case number on December 2nd,2015 DS-261 on December 07th, 2015 Paid AOS fee on December 07th,2015 Paid IV fee on December 12th, 2015 Sent AOS and IV package on December 17th, 2015 Form Ds 260 submitted on December 21, 2015. (Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! I spent a long time getting my extra evidence together ( mainly day to day bank statements from all our accounts, the package was over 4" high in the end) and in fact only just sent it back last week, before the deadline which was May 9th yesterday.

 

What did they ask you for? Mine was comingled finances

I thought also that it was very strange that we both got RFE. My RFE was insufficieny evidence of cohabitation. My house was still under only my husband name.

 

We also took time to prepare all the documents and it was due April 26. We sent it on April 1st. We did a quitclaim deed and added a letter explaining why I was not on the mortgage. 

 

I hope to hear something soon. I will let you know, keep us updated as well. Good luck!

I would expect it to arrive before the end of the week. Mine did. Arrived just a 2 days after the letter did, in fact.

Congratulations! And as long as you have your expired card with you and the extension letter you should not have any problem returning. Several others reported doing this a few pages back on this topic and said everything was fine. Nice surprise for you to return to on your way back. :)

Hi FrenchKat, mine was mailed on Tuesday as well. I got an USPS update that it was delivered just now. I also live in NYC.

 

Yours should be either delivered now or tomorrow. Good luck!

I am gonna share my experience traveling out of the country while waiting for my green card to be delivered. As in the approval letters states I should not travel out of the country till I get the Card because I may have problems when re-entering into the country, I was kind of scared since I had this trip coming up and had not gotten  the GC as it was  expected (before the trip) because something happened with the mail and made it be delayed. It was last Friday  night so there wasn’t any chance to go to the Immigration office to get a stamp, so I decided to travel with the only document I had on me which was the 18m extension letter. Once at the airport before leaving the country, I went to an immigration officer to make sure I was gonna be able to re-entered with that extension  letter, and he said I was gonna be ok since the letter wasn't expired. He said in few words, go and have fun that you’re good, so I did.

 

Once I was back, I went to the Global entry  kiosk but the machines did not work ‘cause the card was expired and it doesn’t read the extension letter, so I went   to the officer and gave him everything I had with me  and explained I was  waiting for the GC to be delivered. He checked the papers for about a minute and  said “ you’re good, Welcome back “ 

 

Thank god, nothing happened.

Xyuxue, I actually got a notification by the case tracker that my card was delivered! Thank you and You were right same timing ! Perfect , I am sooooooo happy I can get the card while in Japan  :) 

then no need to explain anything at the Japanese customs

So, I went ahead and submitted my N-400 application online this morning. Pretty painless. I do like the new online system, it makes it pretty easy to assemble everything. If there's a thread some of you folks who have also filed have started to discuss this process in, please let me know. I'll of course stick around here to keep tabs on those of you still waiting for approvals. :)
