Yes, it is possible, although I think only one or two May filers have their green cards in hand now, there have been quite a few approvals (like us!!! ;) ) and if you don't get caught up in name checks, with your transfer to California you could be pleasantly surprised with an approval any time now! Good luck!

Congrats to all the fellow May filers with EAD and/or AOS approvals! And thanks for all the congratulations sent our way. It was such a relief to get through the interview and be approved... Can't wait till we actually have the card in hand!!

Wishes for a speedy process for everyone still waiting, now you got us out of the way!

Hey everyone!! I've been MIA because I'm on vacation with my family. It's so nice to relax and not think about this process. We've received both emails about my hubby's EAD being ordered and on 8/1 an email stating the approval letter has been mailed. We won't be home for another week but I'm sure the card will be there in our mailbox.

It's great to see all these other EAD approvals!!

I haven't checked the USCIS website in days but there were no updates last time. We'll see....

But now that my hubby can do more here we feel better.

We're off to show him NYC tomorrow!!!

Have a great weekend and congrats on all the good news!

Good morning, we received the EAD card saturday, aug. 4th. That was a surprise since the RFE letter for 1099,s said it wouldn't come for 90 days after they received the rfe paperwork and I just sent the rfe in 4-6 weeks ago.

Congrats on EAD :)

Good mornin mephys :D

Good morning everyone!

I have a bit of a funny story to tell. I have been worried about my AP application because the receipt number still isn't recognized online. I called USCIS customer service to inquire about it, and it wasn't recognized by their system either. I got transferred to an IO (never heard of that before!), and he was very nice. He told me that everything was progressing normally with my AP, but the case status systems had not been updated yet. He then asked about my AOS application, and when I told him it was in California and that I found out that I was in background checks via Infopass, he put me on hold to look into things. It sounded like the phone call was really going to go somewhere!!! Then- guess what happened- my cordless phone died!!!! I got disconnected. I was so upset.

I called back and got transferred to a different IO- he wasn't as nice, and he was full of crappo. He told me that they sent my file to California for processing, and that it would be sent to the local office in 7 months for an interview. He couldn't tell me anything about background checks. And he said it wasn't possible for it to be approved without an interview. Suuuuure, buddy!

I SO wish my phone hadn't died!! It really sounded like the first IO was going to actually DO something! Bummer...

Anyway, that's a funny USCIS story for your Monday morning!

P.S. the customer service agents were SO nice!!

I have a funny story to add as well...

When we went in for our interview, I told the officer that I had called the information hotline. He looked me square in the eye and said: "You called the information hotline? Do you realize that you had a 75% chance of getting the wrong answer? That whole system has been a giant failure."

OMG!!! Even our attorney was shocked he was so blunt! And I had no idea what to say to that... so I just started laughing...

Finally some honesty.... :innocent:
