Hi there ;)

thought I share a bit about my husband and me as well

I wad an au pair in the us and met my husband there very soon after I arrived.

I stayed for 1,5 years and then went back to my home country, Austria.

Shortly after my now husband came to visit me but never left since then, that was in November 2016

We got married in Austria early Jan. 2017 and filed for our paperwork in December 2017.

So far my husband is still here with me but will be leaving as soon as his work contract ends in June.

Right now we‘re trying to patiently wait for our NOA2 but this will still take a while( fingers crossed tho) and also trying to find a job for my husband to start in July/August/September 2018

I‘m a tiny bit frustrated since it seems like there are not many, if at all any filers for spouse/fiance visa from Austria but we‘ll see how it all works out! Maybe somebody on here knows somebody who knows somebody...who went thru the Embassy in Austria etc?!

I‘m very interested in all the various visa options and wish y‘all a wonderful Sunday ;)

Sounds like you have already chosen your visa path.  What kind of options are you expecting to learn more about

80% of the process is the same for everyone as it navigates the USCIS and NVC.  Then and only then does the path become Embassy specific.  What are you worried about?  Anything in particular?  The Embassy website should have all the information you need once the file is received by them

YMMV

Oh i‘m not worried and it‘s not that I have specific questions about anything in perticular!

It would be just nice to maybe talk to someone who is from Austria and went thru the same/similar process.

Talking about the medical exam( which is only done by one doctor in the whole country)

you know, exchanging experiences etc.. ;)

Welcome to the forum.  Thread is moved to the Europe & Eurasia regional forum, where Austrian members might be found.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hallo!

I am from Austria :D Unfortunately, i won't be of any help as my husband (also living here) just sent off the i-130 to Chicago. NOA1 received via email Feb 14th, 2018 and case sent to Nebraska sooo now we are waiting.

Trying to get all the paperwork ready for the actual Visa in the meantime.

Good Luck!

Hello, I'm also from Austria! :3

I'm a K1 filer though. X3 We just filed the i-129f not too long ago and have NOA1 in hands, waiting for NOA2.

It feels like there are not many Austrian filers, which is not a bad thing, I like to believe. It might speed up the process once you get to schedule your medical exam and interview.
