Quote

A Vermilion Parish middle school teacher was removed from a special school board meeting on Monday night in handcuffs, according to a report.

KATC-TV reported that Deyshia Hargrave, an English language arts teacher at Rene Rost Middle School in Kaplan, addressed the Vermilion Parish School Board during the public comments section of the meeting to ask about teacher salaries and pay raises. Board President Anthony Fontana ruled that she was out of order and warned her that she could not ask questions during that portion of the meeting.

She was called on a second time and asked another question to the board, KATC reported. At that point, an Abbeville city marshal removed her from the meeting and placed handcuffs on her as she was escorted from the building, according to the report.

i didn't post the whole article, because we're not supposed to. yeah, no big deal to get arrested at a school board meeting so long as you're released EYEROLL.

Was she arrested?  Not sure if getting put in cuffs is an automatic arrest.  Besides, where are her Union Reps, they can negotiate her salary.

didn't read anything about unions (which i know you luv) in either article. i can see getting cuffed and escorted out of the building if causing a legitimate disturbance, but that's not what i saw.

Went back and watched the video.  To me, it seems quite obvious, the white racist teacher slapped the black officer which the camera didn’t catch.

Exactly, didn’t see what triggered the handcuffing.  Maybe there is more to the story, or should we just jump to conclusions?

as it was reported - it appears her questions triggered the handcuffing.

well, whatever we do we should never ever question authority on any level. sure hope that new superintendent hits all his bonuses!

Again, we don’t know what triggered the issue as it was not caught on camera.  One minute she was walking out off camera, and the next minute she was on the floor being cuffed.  The story implied the officer cuffed her in the meeting which was not the case as it happened in the hallway, but by all means, feel free to jump to conclusions.

Yeah, it would be nice to know the whole story, but I guess that doesn’t fit the narrative.
