The Incredible Hulk is massive destruction. I love to pick up the little men, the tanks, the cars, and chuck them into the air.

I've never seen a game where you can play golf with Pedestrians and a torn up lamp-post ;)

or you can play master of orion and obliterate 300 billion people with biological weapons (one of many choices)

eta: genocide - urban renewal on a galactic scale

Did you ever play Alpha Centauri? It was an unofficial sequel to Civilization (set after you win the game by building a spaceship for colonising other planets). It had a pretty good diplomacy engine. You could outfit your soldiers with chemical weapons or use nuclear weapons that could literally blow a hole in the landscape - but you'd get embargoed by the other civilizations.

Also because the voting system didn't have proportional represenation - once you were powerful enough you could win basically every election even with everyone else voting against you.

never tried that one. currently i'm on age of empires 2, silent hunter 3 and 4, port royal, civilization, and of course - moo.

eta: i have aoe 3 but don't like it too much... graphics are different and the game limits you on certain things - like towers.

I have Silent Hunter 3. Still can't shoot the torpedos without the automatic targetting.

BTW - if you like Master of Orion you might want to check out Galactic Civilizations 2, which is essentially the same - but has some pretty cutting edge AI.

i refuse to go thru the nutroll of all that math for a game. jeesh it's supposed to be fun, not a freaking algebra course! i have sunk the rodney though, got depth charged into the stone age but survived

Am I the only nerd who likes DDR? That's the only video game since the original Mario Bros that I've been addicted to

I think DDR's popularity really showed that video game playing doesn't have to be about button mashing which I find boring. If you and Rey haven't bought a Wii, I'd recommend going out and getting one (if you can find one).

Its annoying that if you start in the 1st Flotilla, you basically get an upside down bathtub with 3 torpedoes and no deck or anti-aircraft guns. Depending how good (or not) you are at shooting the torpedoes you can get maybe one ship, assuming you don't get any duds.

I had a score once - managed to get "under the radar" into the Port of Dover and started sinking stationary ships. That doesn't seem to work with the larger U-Boats unfortunately. The best one to try is Portsmouth, but its a lot harder to get in there.

BTW - If you can get into the naval base at Scapa Flow, there's supposed to be a King George Battleship anchored there (depending the date) that you can take out with like 4 torpedoes. The patrols are a ####### to get past though.

Chop, Kick, Punch! That's all I remembered. It was fun! I loved it! So addictive!

The story was hilarious - managed to complete it. The driving test episode was hilarious if you did badly the guy started to crash the car. Best one was the cooking show...

Counter Strike still holds it's place when it comes to balance and fast pace in online team games.

And it is actually a family binding ritual, since I play against members of my family back in Brazil...

ETA: :jest:, so people don't think I am insane or anything

Do you guys allow for killing your own team members? My God, I remember playing it online and there'd always be some yahoo doing that. They'd eventually get bumped off the server but man was it annoying.

I also think the sniper rifle is to easy - at least in the first version.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I've played WoW for about two and a half years, on and off. Stopped playing altogether this year. Just not that interesting anymore.

Neverwinter Nights before that.

First game I ever played was Quake and Doom.

Hubby recently bought a Star Wars package, I've been playing some Battlefront.

That's about it for me.

Jonny's the gamer so he would have more to say on this than me, but I did kick his ### at Guitar Hero II!!! Last game console I bought was N64. I still have my old NES and I wish it still worked because I miss playing Mario Brothers.

LOL I love Neopets!!! I haven't logged on in a while though, I think my pets are dying >.>
