We did that yesterday and the lady on the phone told us we should press 5 which was surprising. Anyway she told us there is no CN yet but she told us oh you are one of the first cases to go through the electronic filing CEAC. She said we should visit the official page and read how our case will be processed. 

I am wondering now how did she know (without a case number) that we are gonna be part of CEAC since that is only done by just a few countries , and there is a slight chance that I have to go through the US Embassy in Albania, since we got married there. I’m currently living in Germany. So maybe she already had a case number ?!?? 

I don’t know... we’ll have to wait. 

it is probably because she saw you are from Germany. It doesn't matter where you got married. it depends on what do you use as your beneficiary's current address on I-130

NVC received my case in December, all fees paid and they received all of my documents (we had to wait on the police report) today.  Here is hoping they're in fast review mode!

How long did they take before giving you a checklist? I'm at 8 weeks now almoat..

I received a checklist in about 8 weeks after NVC received documents and I received it on Nov 29th.

This waiting game is unreal.. seeing mostin November get a CC is giving me anxiety! No checklist or any update and it's been 8 weeks almost!

Silly question.. So for filing out DS 261 at the very first page. Should I select Applicant or petitioner ? I am petitioner btw and i will be the agent. Thanks

Select Petitioner since your are the one logging in.

And that will be fine ? Its not mandatory that applicant has to fill out (selecting applicant). Ofcourse i will be on phone with applicant....

You guys are making me panic because they just got my documents today. I'm crossing my fingers that there's no checklists or anything

It's not mandatory. you could do all the handling as the petitioner and just carry the applicant along.
