Hi all,
We're applying for a K-1 visa and our case is already at the embassy.
On december 15th we received an e-mail from the US Embassy in Paris with instructions on how to schedule an interview. I’ve filled out the DS-160 form and I was about to sign and submit it when I saw the following checkbox:

“I hereby certify that I have received a copy of the IMBRA Pamphlet as part of my application packet.”

I haven’t received an application packet, therefore I can't sign it nor pay for the visa nor schedule an interview.

We are extremely worried about this because we don't know whether or not our packet is ever going to arrive and meanwhile we're wasting our time. We called the embassy several times and they told us no one could answer our question by phone, only by e-mail. We have sent several e-mails with no answer so far.

Does anyone know if and when we’ll receive a copy of the IMBRA Pamphlet in order to check the box and continue with the payment and following steps?

Thank you very much!

Did you receive an application packet from the embassy? I’m not sure about imbra, but they do send out application packets with instructions on how to apply for the visa and which documents to take to the interview. You can already send out the ds160. My guess is you will receive the packet in the mail soon.

I know the process is different at every embassy.  My husband was given the IMBRA pamphlet at the consulate in Rio de Janeiro when he had his interview.  If you are interested in reading the pamphlet, here's a link to the pamphlet on the USCIS website:

Good luck on your journey.
