i-130 ... 2 Quick Questions (Photos/Birth Certificate)

Hello all.

I am currently filling the i-130 and i-130a forms, and have a couple of questions please.

I would really appreciate your input and help.

1- On the checklist it says that I need to STAPLE 1(ONE) photo of the petitioner, and also to STAPLE 1(ONE) photo of the beneficiary

--The words STAPLE is in bold capital red, while I read somewhere before that staples must absolutely NOT be used.

WHich should I do?

-- On the i-130 instruction PDF it says that 2 photos of each need be added to the pack. Which is it please... 2 or ONE?

2- I cannot see anywhere that the beneficiary needs to insert a copy of his birth certificate..... Have I missed that altogether please?

Many thanks for your help... I am so nearly there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your profile says DCF in London.  The official I-130 instructions for DCF in London.  This will supersede any instructions for a filing at a USCIS service center

I DO find that useful! :)

So you have given only 1 photo of each then?

Did you copy the entirety of each passport or just the picture page please?

The official I-130 instructions

BTW, it is 2 passport style photos

Thank you Payxibka !

I was confused because the check-list date is Nov 2017, so since it is more recent, I felt it may have subsided the instructions.

See updated instructions here: USCIS_20171101_Checklist_for_Spouse

Thank you.

Also, is there anything wrong in stapling the photos or is it better to attached them separately in bags please?

u can send two pics its not costly lolz.. right ur case no. n ur name on back of that pic.

i just send the biographic page of our passport (picture page n signature page) just print it together.

I right the case number on upper right corner of each paper that i hv send to USCIS to be on safe side to not missing my documents.

Read instructions carefully n best of luck fr ur approval.

i send 12 months ago so please read current instruction in case their is any change know.

This is out of date, I would not follow this unless you want delays.

I understand the poster is trying to be helpful, but G325A has been obsolete for a while now, that's the point of the I-130A

Follow the London checklist. :-) No beneficiary birth certificate needed, you'll provide that later at the interview stage. The passport photo page is all you need right now.
