Yeah, its also linked with mental disorders like schizophrenia. But it's not deadly like opioids can be. Well unless you're extremely high and cause an accident, but as far as I know people don't die from excessive marijuana use.

I recently found out I like wine. My neighbor invited me and she had this delicious wine, it tasted like heaven. Before I would drink a glass but more as a courtesy. 

 

All that talking about drinking, I think I'm gonna open myself a bottle of wine or let husband mix some cocktails

The best part of my Thanksgiving meal this year was the wine. I took it more seriously than prior years, and it paid off. We had a barrel aged Chardonnay with soup, the Duckthorn Merlot that won #1 on wine spectator this year with the turkey, and a really nice Sauternes with pudding. The Merlot was decanted a good 3-4 hours before. It was really nice.

Yeah, defenitly gonna pay more attention to wine. I'm in good company though, cause my in-laws love wine. I'm gonna look up that #1 winner, if I like it that's gonna be my Christmas dinner contribution.

 

My kids just gave me a lecture about alcohol though. They had a drugs prevention class couple weeks ago and after reading this topic I thought let me refresh their memories and see what they remember. I did this with a glass of wine in my hand...bad timing.

My wife recently discovered black currant wine.  She loves everything black current and when she found that wine we bought a case of the driest we could find.

It's the Duckthorn 3 Palms Merlot. Decant it several hours before.

 

It's pricey though. Their regular Merlot (not 3 Palms) is also very good though and more reasonable.
