Yes, you need to bring your expired green card and the extension letter. The 12 month one is fine for now as it is 12 months from the date of expiry on your card. If it is going to be closer to that date then it could be an issue if you have not gotten the 18 month one, but still should be a bit.

2015-08-26: Pay IV Fee

2015-09-05: Submit DS-260

2015-09-07: Sent AOS and IV package via EP

2015-10-11: Resubmit via EP after being told to do so on 2015-10-09 as it looked like our original emails were lost

2015-10-16: Received email for scan date of 2015-10-12. Told that basically nothing can be done and we need to wait 30 days from 2015-10-12 (30+ days lost because they lost our emails)

2015-10-26: Told case is basically complete but that they are building my electronic file. Told there is no timeline for this.

2015-10-30 & 2015-11-13: Still told no update. Building electronic file still and no timeline.

2015-11-17: Case Complete

2015-12-03: Receive packet 4

2015-12-15: Medical

2015-12-18: Medical picked up results

2016-01-12: Interview - Approved!

2016-02-03: POE

So ive got notification from usps that i got a letter from uscis yesterday n i was hoping it was my extension letter... so today i check my account it says it was delivered yesterday so i was so excited to check our mailbox n i was devastated the letter wasnt there.. im so pissed off right now n trying to contact usps bout my mail... anybody lost a letter n how did u guys wer able to solve it?

That happened with our NOA, but the letter came the next day. Why doesn’t that happen with junk mail?

Your right.. ive got tons of junk mail n the most important letter wer missing i just dont understand how they mishandled this important letter i wanna cry in anger but im glad you reply gave me little hope that it wil arrive today

Did you get the notice with Informed Delivery? I have noticed that often things they say will come today come the day after. I even saw it says on the report missing item to give it up to 7 days. Seems the pictures/notices are done up stream in the chain before it gets to the local post office. So I guess sometimes it does not go out when they think it will.

Yeah its with informed delivery.. it never happened to me before thats why i kinda freakin out..hope it will arrive today

It has been a while since last time I visited. I have not received the 18 months letter yet :(

I updated the address last month and received the email confirmation. I don't know the letter will be sent to the new address or the old one. *sigh*

I just got the same letter as you. Saying:

I didn't use a lawyer or anything else, sent all paperwork on my own. Never filled a G-28.

 

Did you ever end up calling them for this or anything? Or get any more info from them?

I just got it in the mail now.

I have read this on another thread of this happening and they stated they called to confirm they do not have an attorney on file.  We also have that same wording on ours and our copy is the "white" copy, not the watermarked one.  

 

I think I will have my husband call next week.  I don't know how much of a big deal it is, but if they are going to give us these problems with these silly little mistakes, then we might as well bother them.  The countdown to the N-400 is on!  Only 118 more days!  Three months, three weeks and five days!

Yes, mine was a white paper one as well, not the watermarked one. 

Kinda sucks...pay all this money to remove conditions for them to not even really do anything and then us paying even more money to apply for the N-400.

Do you have your mail forwarded by the USPS?  They should forward mail for up to a year.
