Hi been lurking around and never posted, my PD is 7/19/17 and approval was 2/13/18. SO glad about that. Where can I get a NVC checklist? I'd like to prepare before the package comes. Thank you

I have a question. For filling out tax for this year do I have the option of applying for married but filling separately or single? I didn’t want any red flags during the interview. I know it’s common sense so don’t judge me. Just finding out about this option . Thank you

I'm an accountant, if you're married do not file single. You can file married filing jointly or married filing separately. If you're a USC with a non-resident spouse, you can file jointly if your spouse has an ITIN, and they'll be considered a US Citizen only for tax purposes only. Hope that helps.

Is there a way in USCIS app to find out if the case number around my case are filed for immediate relative, adult kids or siblings? Few of the cases around me are approved. Just wondering if they prioritize spouse and minor kids over other cases.

those cases that are in Nebrasksa, Texas, Potamac, are for USC for spouse and children and parents of USC

all other cases are processed at California service center for brothers, and sisters of LPR and USC as well as LPR for spouse are done through california service center

Spouse, Children and parents of USC are all treated in the same manor by PD

Divorce certificate?

Yougot NOA2 on 2/21?

sorry, you are not being clear enough.

If you already received NOA2 then is already approved, and you are now at NVC stage. It will take 3/4 weeks after USCIS  send your file to receive a case number. In theory, it shouldn't take more than 3 months for you to get case complete and being able to schedule the interview. But it will depend on how fast you gather all the documentation.
