I tried looking around for direct answers, but not entirely sure... 

The link provided for passport photo specifications (this) says that you can't wear glasses, but in my US passport photo, I am! My passport has been stamped multiple times, to and from Argentina and the US. For the CR1 packet, does it matter if I leave my glasses on or not...? Does anyone care? I wear my glasses daily, but I'm not legally blind or anything serious. They are not tinted glasses.

 

Another question: I've heard mixed things about the petition beneficiary needing to provide 2 passport-style photos, some say it's still necessary, others say not if the beneficiary isn't in the US. My husband is still living in Argentina at the moment, but it is possible for him to mail me photos. 

 

Do the photos have to be sent less than/around 30 days from packet sent date or does that not matter so long as they're recent enough?

If the spouse lives outside the U.S., only the petitioner's photos are required. (Page 6 #5.A.3)

No proof required of it being taken within 30 days of filing the petition.

Side note: I turned my maiden name into second middle name. In the combo card, my given name is First Firstmiddleinitial, however on the back of the card, they attempted to list my second middle name.

Page 6 of the instructions:

"You must submit two identical color passport-style photographs of yourself and your spouse (if he or she is in the United States) taken within 30 days of filing this petition. The photos must have a white to off-white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and be unmounted and unretouched.

 

The two identical color passport-style photos must be 2 by 2 inches. The photos must be in color with full face, frontal view on a white to off-white background. Head height should measure 1 to 1 3/8 inches from top of hair to bottom of chin, and eye height is between 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 inches from bottom of photo. Your head must be bare unless you are wearing headwear as required by a religious denomination of which you are a member. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the photo"

 

1) Passport photos of the spouse are not needed if they are outside the US.

2) Glasses should not be worn. I'm not sure how strict they are on this, but better safe than sorry.
