IR-1 instead of CR-1? Help!

I am confused... help! I married my husband in march of 2015, we filed our i-130 application on august 2015, due to life and my pregnancy with our now 1 year old daughter we kind of put NVC process on hold. I am the petitioner (USC) and my husband is the benificiary (EWI) so we did the whole 601a waiver process. Anywho,  we paid our AOS fee april 2016 and IV fee may 2016 and that was the last we did with NVC because we were occupied with life and the birth of our daughter. So jump to current year, we sent out our 601a waiver packet and application on march 2017, got approved july 2017, and now after a received checklist from NVC for scan date 9/19/2017 we are waiting for a CC and for our case to be transferred to El Salvador for an interview appointment. All along I thought  we were getting a CR-1 visa because when we applied we had been married for only 5 months, but as I checked on CEAC website this morning to see if there is any update or a CC on our case, at the top it says that our (well my husbands) visa type is IR-1:wow: ... Why? How? is it because we already had our 2 year anniversary (going on 3) ? Is it a mistake? I am dumbfound.. Someone please help? Should I call and ask NVC? Can this be a mistake? Lol sorry,  don't mean to be so dramatic but this changes everything! Any one with any answers please let me know!!!! thanks ^_^

As long as you enter the US on an immigrant visa after the 2 year anniversary of getting married, you would enter with IR-1 status anyway (even if the visa was issued prior to it, and says CR-1). :)
