My case is very far outside of normal processing and I have not made any progress or received any answers , this is putting extreme stress on my relationship with my fiance.we have waited nearly 1 year.

I seem to be having some major issues with the processing of my application , I originally filed on nov-21-2016 and waited till my case was out of normal processing times according to the uscis website.

It was at this time I called USCIS and put in a request for service, I received back on 5/24/2017 a notice stating my application went to security review I was unable to get any updates and another on 8/30/2017 after speaking with some friends I  was told to make an info pass appointment and did so on 9/19/2017.

During the appointment with the Infopass Agent I was told that my application had cleared security review and was sent back to processing with a request to expedite. As of today there is still no answer.

on 9/29/2017 I called uscis and was directed to a lvl 2 agent the automated system told me to expect a call back in 45 min , that call never came.

now on 10/16/17 I am told my case is still pending security checks and no further information is available.... and uscis still will not call me back after multiple attempts after 3 weeks.

I have exhausted all options my congressman was able to send a congressional inquiry and basically told me its in security hold., ombudsman was no help I cant even seem to make an infopass appointment .

its worth noting my fiance is from Iran , however she is a 27 year old female with no record.... and I myself have no criminal record. my only thought is they are putting my application into limbo because of all these new travel restrictions??

Was she able to travel to the US or were you traveling overseas to meet her? If you've traveled a lot in the region, it's possible they are investigating you and your travel movements. I was under the assumption (and I could be wrong) that an NOA2 delay had more to do with the petitioner than with the beneficiary - I had thought that AP was usually used for the beneficiary.

If you search for "travel ban" you will see many others in the recent months who have asked on behalf of their Iranian fiances too - and I thought I remember reading in one of them that when the new ban goes into effect (Wednesday) that no fiance visas will be issued from Iran.

Here's one I did a quick search and found:

Maybe you could both move to a third country together?
