k-1 visa experience

hey everyone me and my visa has applied for k-1 visa we get approved and we are headed for interview in morocco . i want to ask everyone here had interview in casablanca in morocco about their experience do i need to choose my native language or english . share with me some experience . thank you

You have to interview in the language you talk in with your fiance.  You can request a translator if you are worried you might get nervous and forget how to say something.

My husband (then my fiancé) was recently approved in Casablanca for the K1 visa in July 2017. He did his interview in English.

 

Questions asked during interview: 
- How did you your fiancée meet (included a lot of details about the day we met)
- What did your fiancée do before her first trip to Morocco as a volunteer
- Was her first trip to Morocco her first trip abroad
- Tell me about her additional trips to Morocco (4 additional trips)
- When did you get engaged (exact date)
- How did you propose (what phrase did you use)
- What did she say to your proposal 
- Did you have an engagement party? (We did not)
- What do you (beneficiary) do for a living
- When are you planning on getting married
- What does your fiancée like (hobbies)

They do allow either but they prefer u do in English as you are expected to know it to live in the US

they excuse people like parents who are coming to visit children to do in French or arabic as many of them do not know English and are not going to live here

As for the interview, congratualtions and good luck

much, at this point, depends on the Moroccan

the moroccan financee must know as much as possible about his mate

and have plenty of face time together

be confident in interview

do not be afraid to show how much he. cares and loves u (not normal in Morocco) but this is an adjustment to living in the US

answer questions quickly with honest knowledgeable answers / do not elorborate and go into deep detail

and be totally serious as this embassy considers all cases seriously

they can joke around but the moroccan should not / sounds strange but in our K1 interview they asked my husband what did his family think of me

he said "they love her and smiled" lady said "you smile, you lie"
