I just paid the fee and it went through with no problem.

I used firefox cause I saw people had problems with other browsers and apparently you're supposed to use firefox, I'm on a mac as well.

They kinda tease you with the IV fee cause there's a link for it but it just goes to the same page and its not available just.

Just to confirm, once the AOS fee clears, that bill should appear?

Yes once your AOS payment has cleared, it should the IV fee should say "PAY NOW" and let you click on it and be able to pay just like you did the AOS fee

It shows pay now already but just takes me to the same page as the AOS and has no fee to pay.

I'm sure I'll have some time to wait with the weekend ahead of me, who knows if they even submit it for payment today.

Yes that happens the first few days after you pay the AOS fee. For me it took 2 days after I paid the AOS fee until I could pay the IV FEE. Just give it until next week you should be good.

IV fee becomes payable after NVC reviews your DS261.  You can speed this step up by calling NVC and asking them to review over the phone.  Once reviewed, the IV fee should become payable within a couple of days.

I did that yesterday, that's when I received the welcome letter and AOS became payable

Should I have received the IV first?

From here it looks like AOS comes first.

If I recall correctly, AOS fee is payable when you get your case number and welcome letter and IV fee comes after the DS261 is reviewed.  If you already reviewed your DS261 with NVC, your IV fee will become payable within the next couple of days.

Yes that is correct, they automatically do that when using a lawyer. You should be able to get a case# about 1 week after they sent your case to NVC. I also got my case# over the phone even though I didnt use a lawyer

I believe the DS261 still has to be completed.  Whether your lawyer fills it out or you fill it out, it still has to be done.

Let me retract this... It appears if a lawyer filed your petition then he/she should have filed the necessary forms so that you won't need to submit the DS261 when the petition is sent to NVC.

Ok, I had seen others saying one unlocked the other payment but maybe it was just coincidence that would be nice if it came before the AOS fee cleared
