We just got the mail. It's NOA2 approval notice for ROC. Did anyone else get this shortly after combo interview?

Does anyone knows how long it takes from being in line for oath to when oath is scheduled? I have been in line for oath since March 4th. Is it ok to say it takes two to three weeks from in line for oath till when oath is scheduled? Please those who had their oath scheduled or attended their oath ceremony can chime in the Minneapolis Field office. Thanks

We only spent 1 day in the 'in line for oath' phase but everyone's experience is different. Your wait time is not abnormal.

I had my interview on Feb 13 and on Mar 1 they scheduled my oath for April 2. So I think it take 2 to three weeks to get scheduled.

Hey Guys,

I had my N-400 interview today, and it was really fast and straightforward. I was scheduled for my interview at around 1:30pm. I arrived at the appointment exactly 1pm. I went through security and was scanned  and instructed to check-in at the front desk. When I went to the front desk, I was instructed to look at the canera for my picture to be taken. After my picture was taken, I was given a number and told to sit anywhere until my number is called. After sitting for 15mins, the IO called my number and I met him at the door. He confirmed my number and asked me to follow him to his office. In his office, he told me to raise my right hand and promise to say the truth during the interview. After promising  to say the truth, he instructed me to sit and he went straight into the civics questions. I answered the first six questions asked and he told me that I passed the civics test. He then instructed me to read a sentence and also write a sentence which I did with ease. After that, we went over my n400 application asking me all the questions intially answered in order to confirm my answers. He updated my application based on some information that have changed since I submitted my application. After the interview, he told me that he was recommending my application for approval. Within minutes, my case updated with status saying that I am in line for an oath ceremony. Overall, I had a great experience and hope other do have similar experience. Everyone I interacted with today were very nice. Even the security officer at the entrance didn’t even bother looking at my appointment letter. He asked me to show him my appointment letter but I had it in the midst of a lot of other documents and couldn’t locate it so easily so he told me to just go and have myself scanned. I carried a lot of additional evidence but the interviewing officer didn’t even request for any. I hope everyone have a very good experience with their interview.

Did you move? Or has it been your address for a while and the apartment number just disappeared?

I haven't moved, neither have I changed my address. The apt # just vanished.

I wonder if it's happening with others.

I got some news for everyone. Last week my husband had his combo interview. He said he was being recommend for approval for both. He got his new GC in the mail yesterday. Today his status updated on N400 with a RFE!! Saying we need give more evidence of our relationship for the past 3 years. We brought all evidences in a binder to his interview. The IO didn't take any just looked at them. The myuscis website allows you to submit evidence on their website but only allows you to upload 5 files?! Has anyone heard of this happening? If we didn't have sufficient relationship evidence why was his ROC approved at interview?

I have to say, this is complete and utter bullshit on USCIS' part!  The fact that you had all this evidence at the interview and they didn't even bother to review it actually seems pretty common, but for them to then send an RFE!?  I've never heard of this happening. Very sorry you have to deal with this!

What evidence are you planning to resubmit?  Also if you have a bunch of PDFs you want to submit, you could potentially combine multiple into one to get past the file limit.  There may also be file size limits to consider though.

I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Acrobat DC that allows you to merge and compress files. I submitted tax returns from the past 3 years, CRPs, leases from the past 3 years, a convention ticket, a couple Co op memberships, and several utility bills. It took 2 hours to upload them and about 6 hours to scan everything in and merge them just right because each file had to be just under 6 mb. We will be lucky if we're done by the end of the year now.
