Hi! I received my interview notice last week having been schedule on the 30th of this month and in it was a checklist of all the requirements that me and my husband should bring. There was a lot! For the bank statements, got cards with my name on it linked to his account  as he had added me on it and he can get a copy of that, has also been added to his insurance but that's about it. Got SSN and had my last name changed too. Our house is under my husband's name as he'd bought it years ago, as well as all utility bills, so I have no contracts, leases or whatever with my name on it. Will the previously mentioned stuff be enough? We do have photos, cards from well-wishers and to each other, banns of marriage his parents made for us, etc.

Showing that you have a bank account in both your names is good, and that you were added to his health insurance. You really don't need a whole lot for the AOS interview, they know you only moved here in the end of April and have only been married for very few months. Bring some photos too together with what you already listed.

For the ROC step later on you will need a lot more, so start preparing for that as soon as you can.

Thank you for your reply! That's right, haven't been here that long and only been married a little less than 3 months. Will just be bringing what we have on hand. ROC probably will be what we need to prepare for as soon as possible.

The instructions list what they view as examples of proof. That does not mean that if you don't have some they will deny you. The more you have, the better, but don't sweat it too much if you don't have that many. The evidence is there to support the interview not the other way around. I understand you're nervous but it sounds to me that you'll have plenty.

Other things you might consider, if you have them; power of attorney, car insurance (if you are on his policy), Car title in both names, Cell phone plans

Yes, I'm getting a bit flustered reading the checklist. Car title is a good idea, we do have that. However, both our cell phone plans are under his parents', can we still use that? We do have sufficient pieces of evidence now that I think of it, thank you for your reply. It is sort of a relief to read stuff like this.

My thoughts, and these are just that, are that anything that shows an "liability" for your spouse (or the parents) can be used. I would say that the changes of parents willing to get there in-laws a phone would be slim if there was not a genuine marriage. Same with the health insurance, car insurance, credit cards and so on. It all shows that your partner is running a financial risk for you and that is something couples are not likely to do if the marriage is a scam.
