It really isn't that bad.  I think that I may be off the hook because she is from Pateros.  She won't eat any other balut in the Philippines.  She refused to even look at the balut in Davao.  I didn't taste any difference.

Thanks, but she has some friends there, he wants Jollibee, I like Chicago so  a trip there is not a bad thing

Since the timeline keeps slipping I have booked a short trip to see Rose and the kids in late August.  I will pack light so I can bring some stuff back with me.

 

I was also going to bring her copies of the original K1 filing.  Any suggestions on anything else I should bring to try to help streamline the process once we get approved?

extra copies of tax transcripts, pay stubs and things like that that she may or may not need in the interview. And buckets of chocolates, but I am sure you know that, enjoy the trip

Excellent ideas!!!  Oh yes, her family won't even speak to me if I dont bring chocolates!

 

If anyone is interested, it was only $525 roundtrip with only one stop.  Chicago to Seoul to Manila.  Same on the way back.
