no maximum age difference... however, a large age difference can cause concern about the validity of a bonafide relationship

I think situations where you see denials is where the lady is like a lot older than man where the lady herself is the one filling the case. Well good luck but I don't see you having any problems!

There would have to be something else that brought concern for them to look at your age difference. Maria and I are 19 years apart and we flew through Vermont and her visa interview was 2 questions.. "how are you today?" and "How did you meet?"

What exactly constitutes a "large" age difference when the woman is older? I'm not quite 3 years older than him and I'm the one filing the petition. Is this going to be a problem?

dora_david,

The younger person has to be old enough to marry and the older person has to still be able to fog a mirror.

They can't deny you for an age difference, but they can look at your case more closely because it is considered a ' Red Flag ' at some consulates where there is high fraud.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

This is interesting to know because I never even thought of a big age difference being a problem. Even though we're already married it is a nice bit of info to know incase someone asks in the future.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

YOu should have no problem at all, specially when the guys is much older. he's 34 and you are about to turn 21 either way you should be fine, wish you good luck in the process.

I don't think that will be a problem but then your fiance has to be ready to give a nice answer if that comes up. Am Nigerian but a UKC so I know quite a bit about the culture and it isn't everyday it happens. Don't fret and that's because the difference isn't that much. Goodluck!
