Hey guys,

Just my 2 cents on how we can make things a bit more streamlined in our replies. Given that a number of us are starting to see approvals while some of us (me included!) have seen no movement, we tend to see a lot of the same questions asked by curious members (E.g. What is your WAC #? Did you file your N-400?). Might I suggest a template for us to include in our replies so we can answer these questions right off the bat? Here's what I came up with:

Quote

Service Center: CSC/VSC
First 6 Digits from WAC/EAC Receipt #: E.g. WAC217290
NOA1 Date: E.g. July 15, 2017
Filed N-400?: Yes/No
Case Transferred?: Yes/No

If yes, provide to what service center and date: Yes/No; Transferred to NSC (Nebraska Service Center) on August 18, 2018

Approved?: Yes/No

If yes, what was the date of your approval?: October 1, 2018

If yes, did you have a RFE (Request for Evidence)? On what date?: Yes/No; September 1, 2018

If yes, did you have an interview? On what date?: Yes/No; September 30, 2018

Any other information: E.g. Received my 18-month extension letter on XX; Issues cashing our check originally, etc.

What do you guys think? If we start using a template we agree upon, I think we can cut down on a lot of the typical follow up post questions. Of course, feel free to tell me and my template to take a hike if you think it's too much :)

There is this spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l2zjWPJIPwaKv5fh7v1RfFAc7WmQmRdecC9_gN05ygQ/htmlview#gid=0

since we started this thread here but no one seems to care to update their personal info they can help the rest of us waiting.

The other day I was a “bully” for asking someone to update their timeline or spend a little time and put the info on this spreadsheet.

Ur idea is great but no one here cares enough.

Oh yeah, I have the spreadsheet linked up in my signature and have maintained it as best I can. I made a formula and kept up the formatting as well as my own info, I just found it to be a bit cumbersome to always click the link or link it up in my main posts.

I just figured if we all started to respond with a standard template it would help streamline things and keep all the information front and center. Appreciate the endorsement for it :). I think I will be using my template in my replies going forward; I highly encourage everyone else to use it too or give some feedback if you want to see any changes!

Trenz, good idea.

I have put your template in my Signature block which can be accessed via the Settings menu.

When this info is in a Signature block, it shows up every time you post.

Two variations compared to what you wrote.

1) Don't you mean first 5 digits; not first 6 digits.

2) Everyone should put in their signature block, not just those who got approvals.  We see hundreds of questions here asking people for this info when they make posting about something or another; not just asking this info when they got 10 year Green Card.

😂😂 all I have to say is that I see a lot of people with RFE 😖

I was worried about an RFE because we sent the bare minimum of info.....few months of bank statements, health insurance card, utility bill, and lease agreement

1.) Good point! That is a typo on my behalf. Because I can't edit my original post, I will post again below with the change.

2.) I would agree people should once they receive their approval. At that point all dates and other information would essentially be finalized. My only worry about having the complete form in someone's signature that is still going through ROC would be that they would forget to update it and we would be back to the same issue we are facing now. I would definitely see the utility in posting the pertinent information from the beginning of the template though (Service center, NOA1 date, First 5 digits, etc.). I would largely leave that up to other members, but definitely think it would be a good idea to include at least some of that information in your signature.

Any other ideas, anyone?
