filed i-751 with a waiver. My ex became an alcoholic and our marriage dissolved after a year. Do you guys think I submitted enough evidence? I'm constantly worried after seeing the long list of things other people submitted:

  • divorce decree
  • joint lease (a year before marriage and a year in marriage)
  • joint tax return 2015 and separate tax return 2016
  • joint bank statements
  • joint utility bills
  • flight tickets to florida (trip with my ex and my parents)
  • hotel reservation for the both of us
  • sports club records showing both of our names, dating back to 2014
  • affidavit from my ex
  • four affidavits from friends
  • pictures (we didn't have a wedding but took multiple trips to different cities)

thanks you!

I didn't know how to drive until we got divorced, so we didn't have any car related documents showing both of our names.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I am a VSC filer.

You will be approved before then....VSC is spitting out the approvals and RFE's right now.  No doubt in my mind you will need that stamp BUT just to be certain you are covered, keep that infopass appt.  It can be easily cancelled should you get approval by then.

Is there someone from California who is approved? I am from California and I received an email that says we are still working on your case and there is no update, send my package on July 10, 2017 ... someone from California? I see that most of them are from Vermont ..

Hello, we were approved, but the green card was recalled in May because of errors.  We were told a corrected new one would be returned within three weeks of receiving the card.  It's been seven weeks now.  Never did believe the three weeks!

OMG.....we immigrated on the same day!!  How weird is that?  And we're traveling then too!  How coincidental?  Going 'home' for Thanksgiving?

Two weeks window.  My understanding is all infopass appts offer a 2 week window.  Book now.  I had mine on the 13th and I booked the appt on June 29th.  So for sure they'll grant you your stamp!  Well, I can't say that 100% but they granted me, mine.

Yes to all the above and no to the SScard.  Had to use passport as valid ID.  Suppose they would have accepted my DL but I left that in the car.

Good luck....book it now!!!

Wow! that is very coincidental! Would freak me out if we were on the same plane! :-)  Yes I am going home for Thanksgiving - taking United with a stop in Chicago.

Thanks! I will try and book this week!

You may have already told me this but what is the zip code for the Reno office?

@theanswerisdance  when you were booking an appointment  at the Reno office, did they ask or care if you are coming from a different office?

We are on the same boat. CSC here too and the last time my case was touched was February 2018 since then never heard anything.

Great post Tranz.  Very similar to my experience in Reno.

Glad you sailed through.  Did the IO mention the processing time for N-400 at that office?

Apologies for the late reply here - The IO did not mention any specifics in terms of processing time for the N-400 at my office. I got the distinct feeling that there was also an inordinate wait time (in comparison to old processing times) from what was being said, but that is purely my guess.

The online system doesn’t ask any questions, but I was planning to take a printout of the page that comes up when you try to book in both Sac and SF that says they’re not booking appointments at the moment at either of those offices except on an emergency basis. But I think people go to other local offices aside from their designated one pretty regularly so I’m not anticipating too many problems!

Hi I am new here, November 2017 filer. I just would like to clarify and get an insight from all of you regarding the new memo from USCIS pertaining to the RFE’s.

It says, previous guidance

This PM rescinds in its entirety the June 3, 2013 PM titled “Requests for Evidence and Notices of Intent to Deny” (2013 PM) regarding an adjudicator’s discretion to deny an application, petition, or request without issuing an RFE

This PM incorporates those portions of the 2013 PM which are still intended to govern USCIS adjudications.

Scope

This memorandum applies to, and shall be used, to guide determinations by all U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) employees.

Effective Date:

This updated guidance is effective September 11, 2018 and applies to all applications, petitions, and requests received after the effective date.

I am worried about this but this only applies to applicants after the effectivity date correct? I feel like i did not submit sufficient documentation. I am expecting RFE.
