 Backstabbers, maybe. Political Opportunists?  Probably.  But that is the job he signed up for. 

Are you saying he did not understand the views of the Republican Party when he ran for President?  Did he not know how our system works before he arrived?

Kind of premature to shout for glee yet.  As most people should know, the Senate does not make laws independently, we shall see how this turns out in the House and beyond.
