Hello, I finally received the biometrics letter from VSC and its set for the 23rd and I cant make it that date and I am wondering if I could just walk-in to the Morrisville, NC, ASC center. 

I would appreciate if you all could share your experiences with biometrics walk-in and if at all its a good idea to try to do it ? Thanks.

USCIS Received                  : 05/09/2017

Check Cashed                     : 05/18/2017

NOA1 Receipt Date             : 05/10/2017

NOA1 received                     : 05/20/2017

Biometrics letter Received  : 06/10/2017 - Appointment for 06/23/2017

Biometrics Walk-in               : 06/12/2017 - biometrics completed

DMV license renewed         : 06/12/2017 - 1 year extension from greencard expiration 

I-751 Approved                    : 06/06/2018

 

N-400 Timeline:

Paper filing received at USCIS              : 05/24/2018

N400 notice to create online account   : 05/30/2018

N400 NOA                                                  : 06/02/2018

I did an early walk in at New Orleans. I was supposed to go to Jacksonville, Fl on the 7th, but my husband and I are traveling. I went on Monday the 5th, arrived at around 10 am , explained the situation. They had no issue. I had to wait for people with appointments to go ahead of me , so about 30 minutes. I was out before 11. I brought all my paperwork. They were very helpful .

I130 sent March, 11, 2014 NOA1 March 18

I129F sent April 7, 2014 NOA1 April 14

NOA2 September 10, 2014

NVC received October 1, 2014

NVC

Case # assigned October 17, 2014

Paid AOS and IV October 24, 2014

Submitted electronically November 19, 2014

December 11, 2014 received confirming email receipt of documents

January 26, 2015 checklist for AOS missing info and IV docs (say did not receive)

February 5, 2015 resubmitted IV docs

January 29 resubmitted AOS checklist docs

February 20, 2015 all docs received

February 20, 2015 case complete

February 27, 2015 Case complete email received.

March 2, 2015 Interview email received Interview Date April 17, 2015. Montreal

Medical scheduled April 10, 2015 Montreal

Signed up for courier service.

April 2, 2015 Medisys calls to reschedule medical . ( there is no emoticon that could accurately represent my dismay)

Thank you for that. Do you get a receipt or anything as proof of having done the biometrics ? I dont remember the details from my last experience.

Each ASC seems to have its own rules.  Some will accept walk-ins, some not.  Just give it a try!   Good luck!

Yes he stamped and initialed my NOA2 and gave it to me.

A few people from May CSC went early and had success. I figured,  if they would not do it I still had time to travel to Jacksonville and go to my appointment. I was very grateful and thanked them. So different from the POA at the Canadian/ US border two years ago, when they were fairly aggressive. New Orleans is very well run and efficient.

Did you end up going early in Morrisvile, NC?  What happened?
