Hi everyone!

i have my K1 in my passport and am madly throwing things in a suitcase to fly over on Thursday to start this big adventure, and just wanted to check one last thing-

Do I need to be taking anything super important with me for immigration purposes other than:

- passport with visa

- big sealed envelope for immigration officer at LAX

- my social security card (got it ages ago on J1 visa)

???

I have a ton of documents from the K1 application and don't want to carry them if not needed but don't want to discard them only to find out they were needed!

I also would like to be as prepared as possible for all the paperwork that will be required for this new life- if you have any tips on what documents/ID are helpful to have with you, I'd love to hear them!!

Thanks so much for all your help!! I'm really nervous but very excited!!!

As far as immigration check point at POE all you will need is your passport and brown envelope.

For AOS afterward you will need the DS3025 from your medical exam and an original birth certificate.  Make sure to pack those with your belongings.

Safe Travels!
