1. So when do i need to include Police Certificate

I just found this requirement page from my country that said i needed to include a police cert? (insert image)

But when is it needed? Do i have to send it with the first packet we're sending in or do we only need it when we go for the interview?

 https://my.usembassy.gov/visas/police-certificate/

"Applicants should tell the Malaysian official that their request is for U.S. immigration. Malaysia offers a Certificate of Good conduct based upon statutory declaration alone. This is not sufficient for U.S. immigration purposes. We require that an actual check of Malaysian police records be made, and Certificates of Good Conduct which fail to specify that a check of records has been completed will not be accepted.

Processing time for the certificate is one to two months from the date of submission. The Certificate of Good Conduct will be forwarded to the applicant using the self-addressed stamped envelope. The applicant may also collect the certificate at the Consular Division counter."

It would hold us up for another month or two if we needed to include this in the first packet

2. Does the U.S petitioner need to apply Certificate of Good Conduct aswell?

Try to ask in the country-specific forum. You may get better answers that way, as not all countries have those requirements.

Oh okay so does he need to bring his police cert?

What about um proof of singleness or something do i need that aswell? How do i apply for that

Only the beneficiary needs police certificates.  Some countries require proof of being single, the Philippines being the most obvious example, but most do not. His packet 3 should contain everything you need for interview or check the NVC website.

Hey! I am not sure if you've gotten a response on this question but just to share with you, you can get the full instructions for application of single status letter from Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara's page http://www.jpn.gov.my/en/maklumat-perkahwinan/permohonan-surat-pengesahan-taraf-perkahwinan/#1471507691583-8b9c13c8-7945. Read the instructions carefully because you'll need to include a statutory declaration, which needs to be stamped and signed by a pesuruhjaya sumpah.

To locate the nearest persuruhjaya sumpah, you can use this link http://www.kehakiman.gov.my/?q=node/325

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.
