This isn't any different than an NPO taking political stances. Why religious groups aren't allowed to is beyond me. While I'm personally not a fan of any religion, clearly the left will huff and puff and cry their eyes out about anything religious.

Bigots gonna bigot...it's what they do. Up till this point funds going to candidates, pulpits used to directly endorse, use of Church resources to campaign were off limits unless they give up their tax exempt status. Why should people get a tax deduction for political speech through a church or non profit but not through their Union, Party, Corporation or direct fund raiser? No really good reason that I can see. 

The churches have just lobbied to make themselves of the world and not in the world.  That is sad...they will regret their success.

NPOs need to segregate their lobbying and campaigning funds from their advocacy and education.
