Judges like this who don't recuse themselves for such obvious conflicts of interest should find themselves impeached and removed.

But I have a good answer to that one when I show the video of her applauding her paedophile friend Roman Polanski at the Oscars a few years back, surely thats worse than Donald grabbing a woman's bits and generally they go dumb and dont reply.

 

I actually got myself in a spot of bother when I was at a party and the drone of comments about how great Hilary was started to drive me crazy. I should have said nothing but I just turned around and called "bull" for what the guy was talking about. Turns out his whole family had the same beliefs, they are all heavily active members in a trade union and to them Trump is like the anti-christ. Believe me it was a long night but the wife assures me I got louder and louder as the night went on (alcohol flowed freely) and I was more than a match for a bunch of more educacated masses, even if I wasn't always right.

Overall, you are absolutely correct, but this is just not about Trump.  The presidency has become much more powerful over the years and the last eight especially (Obama signed more EOs in the first days of his Administration than Trump has).  The only thing I wish from the courts is that they actually rule on the law instead of ruling based on some perceived intent.

Not as many as you think.  There are some Repubs that may still believe in smaller government, but they are a much smaller group than you may think.  The GOP has been shifting left pushing the Dems even further to the left into the socialist/communist realm.

The so-called president is already making a joke of the administration by refusing to work with congress. If he wants to get things accomplished, he needs to start working with congress. If he continues with the medieval monarch approach he will run out of ink before anything he signs gets effected.

Is Trump making new law here?  Hasn't the government already passed laws regarding immigration?  I guess I am a little confused as to what Trump needs to ask the congress to do?  As many have opined in the press, President Trump cannot stop sanctuary cities by force, but he can take the carrot away.  Now this judge is essentially saying the judiciary will control how the executive departments will allocate their budgets?  Doesn't this happen all the time when states, or cities apply for federal grants?  Don't they have to fill out applications and meet certain criteria to get those funds?  I personally am not a big fan of sanctuary cities, but this is their choice, just accept the consequences of reduced federal funding.

They (politicians with a spine) may exist, but do they want to be in the spotlight?  The glare of the political media in this country can be more daunting than someone wants especially if you do not side with their narratives.

That is a fairly weak response.  ICE did express their interest in this guy and asked the locals to inform them when he was going to be released.  What you are saying is that the locals should never cooperate with ICE, or the FBI, or DHS, etc.  Let the federal law enforcement officials do all their own work.  So should it work the other way when it comes to something like terrorism?  Should the FBI just sit back and let the NYPD do all their own investigation on a suspected terrorist?  My point is, it is much better to cooperate across all governmental bodies instead of purposefully thwarting each other, and heck, why wouldn't a local entity want to let the feds take a criminal out of their jurisdiction?  Isn't this in the best interest of the entire city and its inhabitants?

Trump has lashed out on Twitter after a judge blocked his executive order withholding funds from sanctuary cities if they failed to comply with his immigration demands.

A federal judge in San Francisco made the ruling on Tuesday after San Francisco and Santa Clara County asked the courts to intervene, arguing that more than $1 billion was at stake for each of them.

In his ruling US District Judge William Orrick III said it was clear the Trump administration planned to use the order to block funding for more than just law enforcement, as federal lawyers had argued.

 

The President said on Twitter: "First the Ninth Circuit rules against the ban & now it hits again on sanctuary cities-both ridiculous rulings. See you in the Supreme Court!

I did a lot of work in Dublin and the funniest thing I ever heard was my co-worker , who does great  immitations, Do Tom Cruise's annoying Irish accent from Far and Away.
