Check and balances, fair enough but according to the CNN article it says the judge blocked a threat, so nothing has even happened so what's he blocking checking or balancing?

if every time Trump speaks someone runs to court to get an injunction it's going to become a joke on the judicial system.

In making the ruling apply nationwide, Orrick blocked the government from enforcing a key portion of Trump's January executive order on immigration, which ordered the Department of Homeland Security and Justice Department to block cities who do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement from receiving federal funds.

 

The so-called president is already making a joke of the administration by refusing to work with congress. If he wants to get things accomplished, he needs to start working with congress. If he continues with the medieval monarch approach he will run out of ink before anything he signs gets effected.

Remember in one of the debates when Trump's bankruptcies and not paying taxes was being discussed and he told Hillary, " If you don't like the law, then change it."?  I guess he doesn't care about the power of Congress when he does whatever he pleases without support.

I am Irish and still live in Ireland, my wife is the American and only recently sent off an I-130 so we can go live in the US. So I also don't have a party. I am trying to take an active interest in the politics of the country by participating in this section of the forum before I arrive in the country. If my leanings are currently towards being republican and a Trump supporter then I will have to blame crooked Hilary and the democratic party for not putting forward a more viable candidate.

I wouldn't recommend learning about politics on this forum, most of the people here are nuts.

There are other parties in America. You don't need to support either democrats or republicans. In fact, you can be an independent and have no party. If on one side you have crooked Hillary, on the other you have lying Trump. Perhaps you should blame both, and support a candidate with spine and honor.
